I'm putting my bets on Liecester at the end of this season or within 2 years. Something about that club, their manager is gonna get poaches and they'll come in for him.

Burnely may sniff but he'll say no.

Without being disrespectful but would you move from a leafy district of London to Burnley or convince your missus to go best of luck with that one.

As for going to Leicester they could end up wit ha points deduction which pretty much sends them back to championship. Think he'd be better off with us for at least another season and we do what we can to keep him long term

His partner will know it's a nomadic life. He could rent a gaff for 12-18 months, spend 3-4 days a week there (my Mrs would be overjoyed if I worked away 3-4 years BTW!) and just view it as another step towards a plumb job at at a glamour club. Basically he doesn't have to uproot his family. Also, if the family came with him they could live somewhere urban like Manchester or somewhere peaceful like Windermere -30 minute drive North or South, they don't have to live round the corner.

I think the Sunderland rumours are just nonsense. Has any respectable news site reported about it?

To me, a move to Sunderland makes little sense. It is sideways move, to a club the level of QPR. As far as I understand, they have less financial wriggle room than QPR, which has good financial freedom in 2024/2025 after getting the 2021/2022 figures out of the three year FFP equation. I think Marti feels at ease with the cooperation with Nourry and I think he believes he can reach PL with QPR in a couple of seasons.

Burnley is a more tempting opportunity, if an offer should come around. If Burnley made Marti an offer I would feel nervous, as Burnley is favourite for promotion. Any manager in the world aims to coach a PL team, and I fear Marti couldn't reject an offer from Burnley, as the chance he would be a PL coach in 2025/2026 would be high. However, if Marti is smart (and I think he is), he will be aware that his CV will strengthen a lot if he can demonstrate to the bigger fishes out there that he can build something over time. If he takes QPR to PL and manage to keep us up, he can sign for a top ten PL club or a top European club.

Oh dear. Skybet now has Cifuentes at 5/1 for Sunderland (3rd favorite).

Would be nice for the club to address the situation.

Yes. Surely the best approach to ######## Internet trolling and associated nonsense is to ignore it? Nobody outside Wearside gives a monkeys about who their new gaffer will be and only a feeble minded cretin would invest with a turf accountant on the matter.

Newsflash! QPR manager is still the QPR manager......

Dons tin helmet first, perhaps Marti could take over from Southgate, infact my 3 legged cat would be better than Southgate.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.
