We’re just not quick enough going forward and the lone attacker approach just leaves him stranded with four defenders around him. All three are holding players at best (if we’re honest none of the three are out and out strikers) so they need someone to play off of them.

Played better than Birmingham. Deserved win.
Really impressed me. After we took lead, kept ball near corner flag. 90 seconds wasted.

Leeds scoring a late goal last night was huge. I'm looking up at Watford a club we can definitely catch. They aren't safe yet and it's good to drag as many clubs into this relegation battle as possible. They have 8 PTS from their last 10 games. Plymouth have 5 so are clearly suffering from losing their loan players in Jan. I really feel like we will be ok, still plenty of work to do but form is massive.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Both Frey and Dykes will only do the goal scoring aspects of their job if they have a partner. Neither are good enough. Armstrong could do it by themselves if the lad had any sense of touch.
We're lucky in that we have Willock, Chair and though he hasn't scored yet Andersen. Frey does a job, i don't like it but he pulls around and bullies, he's too heavy handed and slow for my liking. I'd rather have Sinclair, just teach the lad when and how to run to pull players away. If he can't do that then it's Frey. Dykes just isn't enough of anything without a partner. Get through this year and hopefully we can address this role over the summer.
A genuine striker and we are a solid upper mid table team with the chances we create.

The world and his uncle want a genuine striker. We are unlikely to get one on our budget. Frey huffed and puffed, was replaced by Armstrong who carried on the huffing and puffing. I'm not convinced our approach play is quick and incisive enough to support our man. I would love to secure our safety with games to go and give Dykes, Frey and Armstong a go as a front 3 against Leeds.... would be a sight to behold!
