We can't go into next season knowing he can start talking to other clubs from January. Over summer, he either signs on for an extra 2 years or we have to sell him as the Irish Cafu to maximise the fee. I obviously want him to stay but we've been too lax at selling at the right time for a couple of seasons at least, this summer we need to bite the bullet and move on some our most valuable assets.

True......but

What if we get that £20m from an Eze sale and £5m for Chair that's an extra boost of £8m to our budget over three seasons. That's assuming the owners still max out on FFP to circa £12m a season. What would Jimmy sell for with one year extension remaining.....£2m? Is he that in demand that a team would pay a fee for him?

Great goal on Fri but surely there are plently of Jimmy Dunnes out there? But as you say let's try and get him to sign an extension.
