Shep, I’m from Hammersmith, I’ve been going for 55 years since I was 9.

I wonder how the men felt in 1918 and 1945 when they returned to play football after witnessing real horrors.

I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Pity transfers aren't covered by The Sale of Goods Act, 1979. Blimey, we'd be top of Deloitte Rich List with all the refunds we'd have claimed!

If it was possible we would be buying players from Del Boy out of a suitcase on a street corner. Hopefully things will improve under the new regime!

                Maybe a confidentiality clause.

Shame there wasn't a buyers remource clause...

Something tells me Nourry and his spread sheets will figure this out by the summer if not sooner.

I’m not going to suggest what someone should be doing if they’re suffering from mental health issues but I hope the club are helping in whatever way they can if he is in need of help. Some things are bigger than football.

Of course. But if he has a long-term or permanent incapacity preventing him from fulfilling his duties there comes a point when the employer has to let him go.

It's no different to the situation Tom Lockyer is in at Luton. Club will support him during treatment and rehabilitation but if his heart condition persisted in stopping him from playing, he'd eventually be let go.

I think if mental health issues are the problem, a carfeully worded statement would end any threads like this, not that these threads matter but there's plenty of fans that would be wondering whats going on. It can (and probably should) be done respectfully.

Perhaps he doesn't want his medical history disclosed to the world. He's currently contracted to May 2026.

Seems you can be sacked for mental health issues, but is he turning up to work ie training. He could argue its nit his fault he's not being picked for the team. It will probably require some sort of financial settlement to get him off the books.

Can you get a settlement after mental health absence from work or have you been dismissed and want to make an employment tribunal claim?

We're looking for complicated answers as to why he's not in team. He's not good enough. Simple.

That’s what his contract is for and the club will, likely, let it run down given the return from Richards. That doesn’t mean any help should necessarily stop.

It’s also a very different situation to Lockyer’s.

A loan away from London/England can maybe be helpful.. Scandinavia perhaps....
