So you are saying the owners have defaulted on the fine they said they’d pay ? And they still fund the club 2 million a month ? So they need to go then

If it's what happens, so be it. We've been flirting with this for years now, get it over and done with, we'll never disapper as a club, it'll be rough but we will come through. Whatever we have now isn't working.

Honestly the only part of the squad i'd be gutted to lose is Marti, we have'nt seen luch of him really but i think he's a gem.

Lets see what happens, the next 20 days are huge for this club.

            1. Important to remember that our fine does not count towards our FFP, we pay a £17m fine spread over 10 years and its interest free, so that works out at £1.7m per year, so since we were fined in 2018, we have paid roughtly half of it off by now, and the club formally finishes paying it off in 2028.

            2. If we were to breach FFP, then the EFL would have to formally charge the club, and we'd already be under a soft embargo, which would limit our transfers.
Well its always been stated that the owners would like to put more money in but cant due to FFP. If it doesnt count towards the ongoing FFP calculation then the decision not to pay is down to:

            1. Were likely to be relegated any way, so go down with a sanction which will cancel the remaining amounts due

            2. The owners have decided theyre chasing theyre losses and dont want to fund anymore. Accepting the strategy above removes the ongoing liability and makes the club more saleable.

As I said earlier...we dont get six points in the next two games I can see the default happening. The fine was so unfair in the first place compared to what the big boys have been getting up to. Its a noose around our neck.

We'll know in the next few weeks.

You say look at Wrexham as most in the UK are currently doing, but have no clue about Wrexham.

Wrexham have been a club that should have been invested in years ago. They have huge potential and a massive catchment area in North and Mid Wales. Historically they've been well supported when doing well and that's proving the case now. The owners had nothing to lose buying Wrexham because it could only go one way. Get a decent side on the pitch and the people will come, they knew that based on history. The catchment area will also allow them to be successful in terms of youth players.

The fact is they've played a blinder within the local and wider community and everyone has bought into it. The documentary has taken the club on a global scale. The revenue is through the roof and that's not taking into account this season. In fact, they were topping £20m in revenue whilst in non league, based on last seasons accounts which are due to be released this year, it will have significantly improved again. I believe they ordered around 30k shirts in the summer and they sold out and had to restock for Christmas. The American and Canadians are spending fortunes on Wrexham gear. They get paid silly money per episode of the documentary. Wrexham will get to the Championship and that's when it will become difficult and their financial muscle will be on a level playing field, but they'll be challenging in the Championship every season but whether they can hit the heights of the PL remains to be seen. I wouldn't back against it though.

Whereas what's the incentive to buy Rangers? We're a London club in the Championship, that's about it. If we go down, we become even less of an exciting option to investors.

We have a football stadium that leaks money, we have no opportunity to raise money on non matchdays. We have to compete with loads of other clubs in London and surrounding areas. The same clubs are all battling for young players. Being in London means having to pay a premium.

I'd buy a Wrexham over Rangers every day of the week.

It would'nt surprise me if what K.A says is true because our owners have been absolutely clueless and useless at running this club .
I just wish they would #### off because i can't stand all these incompetent foreign owners and all the leeches that hang onto them and bluff their way through , earning big bucks along the way . Like Ferdinand ,Hoos and Ramsey , clueless #####.
Even if we get relegated to the national league i will still be supporting this club till i die , what will be will be.

I remember playing them when we were in League 1 under Olly and their keeper was wasting time all game and Gallen got a late winner. Think they brought around 1,000 that day when they were struggling in the league.

Obviously they become famous in the 90s for cup upsets beating Arsenal, West Ham, Middlesbrough off the top of my head. I went to watch them at Wimbledon one year in the 3rd round on a Sunday and they had 3500 down then, so always been well supported for a club who's generally been in the lower leagues. It's natural to get bigger crowds when successful but in my eyes they're a proper club with a decent hardcore of fans. I'd rather a club like them with a history have success than someone like Salford.

Hopefully it's a few more years until we play them again and it's in the Championship not next season in League 1!

I can remember going to the old racecourse ground with Rangers in about 79 season , i think there were only about 7,000 there.
It was last game of the season and about 30 of the old c/mob went on the Football Special . We went in the Wrexham end behind the goal and after a little bit of fisticuffs the old bill escorted us across the pitch to the away end.
At the end of the game me and my mate climbed the fence to get on the pitch and loads of Rangers came on as well . Tommy Docherty was manager and came to the players tunnel and handed my mate all the players shirts from the game . I grabbed two of them and my mate handed the rest out and kept one for himself. I sold one of them for £35 when i got home and kept the other one as a souvenier . I gave it to my son , who lent it to one of his mates when he emigrated to Australia and i think his mate still wears it to Rangers nowadays.

I get that KA believes his intel and I respect that but I just don't see this being correct. The club has reduced its wage bill and created income from sponsorship from selling its soul (Loftus Road name) to counter the scourge that is FFP. The owners are losing shed loads in operating costs every month and yet they default on a relatively small FFP fine (the fact that the fine is relatively small is scary coz it was huge) Why would they do that if you're gonna get an FFP execution anyway? Time will tell but I'm not a believer at this point in time.

Here's what I reckon, chinese whsipers at the club over what would happen if we stopped paying the fine, and that as we are looking down the barrel of relegation, we may aswell pay it. How high it came from, who or how true or fact based it is, I guess we'll find out in the next 20 days.

1 decent, astute signing would be enough to put it to rest.

Really don’t understand the abuse King Austin is getting. He’s a regular poster on here and if he’s heard something I believe him. It may or may not be true but that’s not the point, this is a forum where we should all be allowed to post what we think or hear without getting abused.
