5) Our captain needs to play in midfield.
6) Don't pick Albert - always play Smyth when fit.
7) Playing Dunne and Dozell in the same side makes us too weak. (Although leaving them both out might not be possible).
8) In the window - it's all been said.
9) If the Window turns out bad for us, consider playing someone in an alternative position (last straw move though).
10) Practice corners and dead ball situations defensively and attacking. Although, as we are awful at both, realistic practising might not be possible.

Marti's not the problem, its the players and board.

Can't really blame the players either, it's not their fault they're not good enough. The recruitment has been disgraceful for a number of years and it's finally caught up with us.

The whole approach needs ripping up. We keep young players on the books until they're mid 20s and then they finally get released and end up in non league. We waste so much money doing this. Who's in charge of keeping these players on? Ramsey? Sack him, it's embarrassing! Who's come through the system and been decent?

Rip the whole recruitment and youth page up and start again. If a player isn't in the first team by 21 then release them. It's not as if the first team is any good is it? The recruitment model needs ripping up as well. We pay decent money for absolute garbage, it's clearly not right yet we just carry on employing these people making the decisions and spending what little money we have on rubbish, while moaning about financial implications. Maybe sort the mess out behind the scenes and run the club properly and we'd save a few quid!

Yep 60 points to play for and we need to collect around half of them. Given that we've returned 35 points since January 1st 2023 it's going to be a major ask to do it in 4 months unless we improve the squad significantly.

Gotta let the Warnock obsession go - he is NOT the answer.

Last season Huddersfield were still getting parachute money and had players/loans of good quality. That squad should've been pushing into play-offs. Due to having a duff coach they found themselves near the bottom. They sacked the duffer and bought in NW to rescue things. We bought GA in to rescue our season and both teams stayed up.
But, Warnock had a bigger better squad to work with - he simply got them to perform at a level commensurate with their ability and pedigree. I think it's unrealistic to think he could get something new or better out of our paper-thin squad that simply lacks depth and quality.

50 pts will see us okay but Derby stayed up with 44 pts 20/21. But I take your point I think it will need more than 44pts this season. There doesnt appear to be any FFP points deductions for any team this season.

I think we'll need to hit 47pts minimum....thats a hard ask to a vulnerable defence and a less than potent strike force.

We need to sell Chair and get in at least five players on a mix of loans and permis.

If we go down its likely that Eze will be sold in the summer and if he goes for £80m then our £20m share should make for a L1 title push next season. That will be fantasic fun!

Relegation isnt the end of the world for me. It would be nice to see us win a few more games. I still be there as will many on this MB. Our average crowds went up when we were in L1 last time. The world will keep spinning...

It all hinges on Jan, EVERYONE knows now the squad is not good enough for what we need, we'll win games, but it will not be enough. We need to go on a bit of a run, and right now it's only some new players in forward positions, coming in all guns blazing that will do that.

That being saif i agree with you Sheep, without considering financials going down could be exactly what we need. It would be great to keep Marti and build, yeah, we are not guaranteed to cole straight back up, or even survive, but this loserville, relegation threatened life needs to stop. Maybe just get it over with.
