When everyone saw the team sheet we all knew what was coming, Rangers true to form delivered a truly woeful display, bar 20 minutes in the second half we looked lost. losing Cook, Colback Willock , and Chair is one step to far for this squad.
Without 3 or 4 incoming we have had it.
Dreadful keeping by Bekovic cost us the game.
Cannot see any positives apart from a brilliant cross from Koli who looked lively that lead to the goal.

Totally depressing afternoon watching 2 hopeless teams.

We need to start signing players. Problem is we have no saleable players so we will have to take the hit of having a 35man plus squad. We need 6 or 7 new signings over the next few weeks. Surely there is a long shopping list from the manager so I will stay optimistic whilst the transfer market stays open

Agree awful first half and only changed when koli came on great goal for us and then??????..kept a close eye on dykes today and yes he didn’t get much service but have to question his basic skills and reading of the game. Certainly puts in the effort but to no avail never a game winner unfortunately

Bunch of puffs with a manager who doesn't know this league. It's very difficult to see our fortunes changing. The recent hectic schedule has clearly been too much for them, maybe when the more normal rhythm of games now resumes we can see more of Cook and Fox bolstering the defence and maybe see Koli and Armstrong together as a front pair? May as well roll the dice.

im still not totally convinced by him, obviously better than Kakay but so is a dustbin lid.

i think it is taking him time to get up to speed and he does have decent pedigree at international level, so give him time.

Awful game and I got wet .
Dykes can't trap a ball when he drops deep it just bounces off his feet .
No urgency , forever passing it between defenders until we lose it or go long to dykes who just doesn't win it .
Kolli looked bright at least he wanted to attack .
Didn't get putting Albert in midfield it didn't work and the game passed him by
Armstrong another sub , no football brain .
Team carrying to many passengers and players that just want to play it safe... No drive in this team , chair the only player than can hold the ball up and he was absent today.

Do the owners really care about the club now, or just waiting for buyers to come in before we get relegated to get the best deal.
We will know by the end of January if they bring in players or not.

2nd bottom now but for me we are the worst team in this league. We have no bottle unlike Rotherham and sheff weds who at least seem to be giving it a crack.

Makes me furious that we are paying the likes of those ######s Richards and colback good money yet the 2 teams next to us in the league have players who run themselves into the ground.

Lots of hurtful home truths here in this thread. As Abseits says..."a manager who doesn't know this league". But we have tasked him with performing magic in the transfer window.

All we can hope for is he brings in some gems from somewhere , because the way we played in the 1st half today we're are going down .

What a shame if we get a guy like Marti in, who could well turn out to be a very good manager, and he ends up taking us down.

On the plus side at least we'll have a couple of games against Wrexham, could be good fun.

Cannon was in a weird place this game where Dunne didn’t seem to either way to or have the ability to get him the ball.

i saw a lot of running into unoccupied space, but that unoccupied space was where there was a Cardiff player between the person with the ball and them, it was weird.

i also saw times when Dunne/JCS had someone they could pass the ball to but either didn’t or when they did the person who could have turned and looked up, didn’t and instead gave it back.

im no footballing genius and was saying to my brother I have no idea how we turn this around with what was on our bench, but we came out looking better in the second half until Koli went off injured and Armstrong didn’t offer the same threat down the sides as Koli did. Koli impressed me as he was peeling off defenders and creating space, something I didn’t see Dykes or Armstrong do with any effectiveness.

But to answer the question on Cannon, he played well defensively and tried to get forward and put himself in a position where a ball could be played to him and Cardiff had to track him.

but we seemed very reluctant to play the ball down the wings and utilize Smyth or Cannons pace in anyway shape or form in the first half. Which was even more confusing because of how effective Smyth was in the second half was clear for most to see.
