If l can find a barn door on eBay I’ll get it sent to Heston they could certainly do with it

I feel that Dykes gets a bad rap in a team that doesn't play to his strengths - our midfield are either ball joggers who want to do it all on their own or crabs who wouldn't know a forward pass if it slapped them in the face!
i made a point of watching dykes specifically yesterday - Southampton played a very high line and several times Dykes made well timed runs - onside only for Dozzell or field to play a short sideways pass - only Jimmy Dunne in the 2nd half seemed capable of playing direct passes across from the back .
And again when the ball goes wide to Willock and Chair they are so head down and intent beating their man 3 times before even considering looking up Dykes has no forward momentum and usual has at least 2 defenders on him.
despite what some say his hold up play and his pressing is very good - Several times yesterday he nearly charged down the keepers clearances
yes his job is also to score goals but yesterday and in other games he is given zero opportunity by our either slow or selfish build up play.

Truth is he hardly gets any thru balls to Run on to , and our pinpoint crosses are non existent.
THat aside his 2nd touch is usually a sliding tackle and he lacks a strikers instinct.
It's only.his work rate and lack of alternatives that keeps him in the team
