Steven Schumacher admitted he had already turned some of his thoughts to Plymouth Argyle's away game against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday midway through the second half of the 4-0 defeat at Leicester City on Saturday.
Schumacher said: "Morgan and Finn have been influential for us and so much workload goes through them. I knew the game was pretty much over and I brought them off on 60-odd minutes to save them for that (the QPR game).
It'll be a tight game and the first goal will be crucial. Despite Plymouth's poor away record they've only lost by the odd goal in all their defeats apart from at Bristol City and Leicester.
Despite them making changes at Leicester during the game, they'll surely be feeling it. Rangers need to come out the blocks fast and stick it on them.
QPR defender Reggie Cannon has shaken off a knee injury picked up in Saturday’s win over Hull and will be fit to face Plymouth on Wednesday but midfielder Jack Colback will miss out again.
“Reggie got a knock on his knee, but has been training completely normally and everybody involved on Saturday is fit and available for tomorrow,” Rangers boss Marti Cifuentes said.

Looking forward to this one. Heading down to it. Love a match at hq under the floodlights. Fancy us to win especially after results going our way tonight. U R's!
Under Warburton we had a few excellent sequences of results. During these spurts of form we moved up the table and the top 6 came into view. In his first couple of seasons we'd be poised in 10th-ish with 8ish games to go and you'd start wondering...... win the next few and who knows.
But, every time we had a game where a win would put us in a serious position within the promotion mix-up we blew it. We'd fall away and only resume winning again once the pressure and expectation were off.
I know tonight is not about the top 6 but I'm interested to see how they handle the fact that a win takes us out of the bottom 3 and puts our future safety in our own hands. Obviously I know it's way too early in the season to talk of "win or bust" but I think psychologically it's very important to follow-up our recent good form, get the home win and get out of relegation places. Like I say, I feel our teams of recent years tended to melt and fold in such games so tonight will be a good indicator of the mental strength this squad has and how much belief Marti has installed in them.
