I don't think there is anyone out there realistically we could get in who would make much of a difference.

With the limited budget we had I think our summer recruitment has been very good. We badly needed to inject some character and make the team more solid without spending more than about 10p and a bag of crisps. We did that. Not GA's fault we couldn't sell Chair or Field to free up some budget.

Away from home we look competitive. At home we aren't but we haven't been for much for the last two seasons. This is not a new problem, incredibly frustrating though it is. We don't seem to be able to impose ourselves and create enough chances. Away from home it works on a more counter attacking basis. At home we are the side expected to be doing the attacking and we just don't seem to know how to play on the front foot.

My own view is that going forwards we lack balance as we have done for at least two seasons now. We desperately need one other Championship level striker so we can pick two of Dykes, Armstrong and mystery make believe new guy. For me Armstrong can make further progress this season but playing week in and out not quite there. That means we are stuck with one up top some of the time. We have had to try and accommodate Chair and Willock. When on fire that works, when it doesn't we are listless and lost. Willock hasn't shown any form in literally nearly a year. Chair is good but as someone said on another thread is not direct enough which stalls things. He isn't Adel. Far more often he just needs to keep it simple, pass the ball quickly and keep us in possession. Always available for selection and good attitude, just needs to stop trying to do overdo things all the time. To be blunt Adel was amazing at this level and you could afford to carry him as a luxury player. Chair is not at that standard and having to base system on accommodating him doesn't work. People criticised GA for playing him out wide but you either have him less effective out wide or the team less effective by having to work around him.

I am sure GA would love to have been able to sign a decent striker and in my view a left winger but he couldn't. Was always going to be a tough season regardless of who is in the dugout. Getting rid to me achieves nothing. Maybe we can tweak the squad in the winter window but for now team needs to dig in and grind out points when they can.

I expect us to pick up 4pts this week and hopefully this hysteria will settle down a bit.

I'm not going to make excuses because the performance wasn't good enough and too many on here blame the referee. However after watching the highlights he clearly has a huge effect on the outcome. What does Armstrong need to do to gain a penalty? It's really quite strange because he's an honest lad and plays that way too! I am a big Willock fan but we do seem to have too many luxury players that don't want to win their battles.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

We ain't good enough , too many weak links and players not willing to bust a gut.
The football is slow and predictable .
I didn't think there was a lot in it Saturday in the 1st half , but we didn't do the basics and got punished.
Example look at kakay for the 3rd goal .
I was taught at school to stand goal side of the forward , look at kakay position....

              When do we start panicking?
Im panicking now as can’t see us getting out the bottom 3 and the gap will get bigger
As previously mentioned if we had money he wouldn’t be here in the first place .
soon as the owners sense danger he will be gone . As much as it hurts me I called it we would be bottom 3 by end of September

I voted get rid because i never wanted him in the first place and believe he is a poor manager , just another Holloway , cheer leader type .
I know we have'nt got any money and the squad is poor , i reckon our bench on saturday and most other weeks is league 2 standard at best , probably lower.
I am a firm believer in a manager that is tactically aware and knows how to organise a team could probably keep us in this league , we have no chance with Ainsworth.
I predicted before the season started that we would finish bottom and if we keep Ainsworth i still think this will happen , although Sheff Wed are going to run us close .
I just don't feel that we can beat anyone in this league at the moment , unless by sheer luck.
I am not sure who to appoint but feel we should of kept on the Beale type route with a young coach /manager with fresh ideas . Look how well the younger manager types are doing at Ipswich , Plymouth , Preston , Oxford etc.
I would even have that snake Beale back .

Keep for now but pressure is mounting.

Not his biggest fan and I think he's up against it with this lot as his squad but the players have shown they're with him. We've had some decent performances and results on the road but the home results have been poor. The lack of goals and actually creating chances at home is a worry and I feel a change in formation is needed for games at HQ.

We should have got points against Southampton and Ipswich. We should have beat Swansea. An extra 4 points would have us sitting on 12 points and in 13th. 1-0 up against Sunderland when Colback got sent off. Not saying the end result would have been different but it certainly didn't help. I'd dare to say we've been unlucky this season.

Another worry is the apparent lack of changes during games whether it be tactically or personnel. Cov were getting in behind quite often in the first half and nothing changed. GA changed nothing all game. I think he deserves time but changes are needed to improve our home form.

Not expecting anything from Leeds but our away form is good. Blackburn at home is a big game and one we have to win given Blackburn's start to the season. They are a bogey side of ours mind. I think two defeats this week and the International break to follow could be the end for GA.

However, we have Huddersfield and West Brom away after the International break. Both winnable given our away form. Leicester at home, very tough. Rotherham away and Bristol City at home are again both winnable before we head into the November International break.

Personally I would give him until after the Bristol City game. We've got two very winnable home games in my opinion and two very winnable away games at Huddersfield and Rotherham. We could win 4 of our next 7 games and I think GA has earned that opportunity given the positive away results we've had and also the lack of luck in certain games.

I get the look at what we've got coming up view but tbh we create sod all most games and when we do we don't take chances paal and colback top scorers ok dykes been injured but kolli and sinclair don't look composed kolli really needs a loan out

I can only see this week being nil points may get a point v Blackburn ainsworth going nowhere regardless of points were skint he's got 3yr deal he's here for a while imo, we're fighting together on the pitch but it's quality we lack not commitment GA may believe he's got enough to stop up but we look shot at home and that will be our downfall

Only a few weeks back the naysayers were saying they got it all wrong about GA. Now theyre backtracking to their summer opinions.

I get what you’re saying and I hold my hands up as saying his growing on me but we take a step forward and I think this is the turning point then we take 2 steps back .
Yes we playing better but it’s fine margins and luck and opposition gk making world class saves end of the day we have lost and the table never lies . 10 games in you roughly know where will end up bar a few teams come from no where and fly up the table. Unfortunately that won’t be us .

Not me mate . I said that i was surprised we got a couple of wins at Cardiff and Boro .
We just don't seem to have an actual game plan or a style of play . We never look like scoring or even creating chances and look like we are going to concede a few , we very rarely get over 40% possesion , we've got relegation written all over us .
Our 2 best and most creative players are Willock and Chair but Ainsworth can't even get them playing . I will stick with what i said before we even appointed Ainsworth , not good enough to manage us.

He hasn't played much good football but we have lost and drawn some games by fine margins and poor decisions.

I'd be willing to give him another 4 points on the board in theory.

For now he stays as it's a rather mute conversation as we are broke.
