Replacements for Ainsworth

I really don't think GA will be sacked anytime soon, we are obviously in a terrible mess on and off the pitch and I think the owners will gamble thinking with a couple of players out and a few more in this window that he can get enough shock results to keep us above relegation! If however in our first dozen matches or so we have only a few points which is completely possible then they may be forced to try to bring in whoever would be foolish enough to step in!@gatorTFC

Once we know what philosophy to base everything on (i.e., ball playing, route one or any other philosophy) we can start thinking about what manager to look for. But I agree that we are not an interesting proposition in the present situation, with FFP limiting everything we can do in the transfer market until June next year (or until Eze is sold).
Next summer, the situation will be very different, with £10-15m more to spend than this season, if we are still in the Championship, and if the owners want to continue digging into their pockets. If we are in League One, it will obviously be much less.
I think Ainsworth was a monumental mistake and I was load and clear about it when he was signed. There is nothing suggesting he is a competent manager at this level and I cannot think any other Championship club would seriously consider him a candidate. However, it makes no sense firing him now, and appoint a new bloke a few weeks or a few months before a new DOF arrives. And who should pick the new manager right now: Our owners? I am sorry, but they are not qualified. I think they were behind the Ainsworth appointment, not Ferdinand/Hoos.
Moreover, if the rumours of potential new majority owners are correct (which I take with a pinch of salt right now), we should certainly not change manager now. New owners will have their own thinking and might even have a nominated new manager as part of the plan.
As much as I respect Ruben, Kamarudin and Amit/Mittals, and appreciate their good intentions and all the money they have invested, a new manager or a new DOF aren't on top of my wish list: It is new majority owners. I keep fingers crossed for some experienced American sport investors that have proven before that they can turn clubs around and deliver success. I think Ruben & co would get a more enjoyable run as minority owners.

Realism required. Let's go for Pep..
you need to require some realism
qpr are a west London club regardless off where we are in the table .
he is £1500 a week at Plymouth ainsworth got to be on 10k a week .
what would you do stay at Plymouth!
Again it’s my opinion if you don’t like it don’t comment zzzzzz

One game in and it seems our target is not to be relegated. This is not QPR we are a West London side. Not a GA fan but was this side any different before he came. Maybe the problem is deeper rooted. And it’s not all about money lots of sides without quality make up for it with effort. Which is sadly lacking in our team. They can’t all be bad players!!

Question is would anyone any good join us?
Plus points
London side. A capital based club is a draw.
Championship side. The Championship is a pretty big deal and only one step from Premiership. Some misguided souls may fancy taking on the challenge.
Our history.
Negatives
We are skint.
To properly grow we need a new ground so any new owners got to be willing to spend £150m-£200m and be willing to wait probably at least a decade for that to be in place. Until then FFP will mean we cannot really compete near top end of Championship. That means at best we will be a stepping stone for anyone decent. We won't be a long term option for anyone and if they do well will likely take first position that gets offered them, Beale all over again.
There is a reasonably high risk we will be relegated this season and that will damage the reputation of anyone coming in. Nobody will flourish with this squad.
First point really but we have no money to strengthen and squad is poor.
We have few players really worth anything to cash in meaning the transfer position is unlikely to improve. Technically Chair, Field and Willock (likely £1m-£2m for him) have any future transfer value and clubs don't seem to be queuing up for them.
As someone else has said we need a new DoF and until they are in place that will put people off.
Of the names I have seen mentioned only two seem likely possible candidates. Nathan Jones, could do well or could flop so not that convinced. The other is Warburton. Did well overall during his tenure but people seem to have forgotten how poor we were in the second half of his last season and he showed no ability to lift us out of our losing streak. Also in my view the rot set in due to a rank last summer transfer window and failure to address very obvious problems in the following January window. In other words our problems now are rooted in his last year with us.
May as well get used to GA, hopefully he will come good!

Dykes terrible how he got a scottish cap is beyond me for 2 reasons.....1 hes australian 2 hes an aussie rules player and not a footballer
Dozzell worse than his overrated dad
Kelman joke that probably played Lacrosse at his american college as he wasnt good enough at basketball or football like the rest of the americans
Richards not right in head
JCS the biggest waste of space ever worn a QPR shirt
Archer a drunk
Gubbins not fit to be on a league 2 bench
Smyth just too small and most mascots could probably out muscle him in an arm wrestle
Willock lazy and charlie big times who if he could have kept his nut on the prize would have been a target for Burnley instead of Hull or whoever he ends up at before Sept deadline
even chair is an annoying little street hoodie in my eyes now
its a disgrace that the only players im behind for us at the minute are Dunne, Begovic, Fox, Colbeck, Adomah, Field, Kakay, Paal and Sinclair Armstrong
all this between beale and Ainsworth could have been avoided getiing in a proper manager in between
Nathan Jones was available

I don't think any manager would be the right move until some fundamentals are sorted upstairs, DOF, ownership.
Any move offering a contract would be a sideways step at best, surely, given the nature of our situation and who we could realistically get.
Other than a caretaker oppointment.
I'd be prepared to wait and see what happens when Colback comes in, Dunne is back and maybe another signing or two.
I'll get flamed but i still think going down last season would have been a good thing for the club long term. Unless some full on u-turns are made on and off the pitch we are heading that way anyway and it's just gonna be a longer and more drawn out death, and therefore a longer and more diffcult rise from the grave.

I keep reading about people say Nathan Jones should have been brought in.
I agree he did well in two spells at Luton, but I think it was Stoke he went too with a better squad and money to spend and didn't do that well.
He went to Southampton and didn't do well so I am not sure he could have done anything with us.
Secondly he hates us.
And how would we know if we had sounded him out and he told us to do one.

GA would have been more at home trying to get us back to championship
this is a terrible time i would put it worse than when we went down to league 1 under Holloway problem is were a league higher than when holloway was here but we all knew Holloway had it in him to motivate

It's was just a IMO ridiculous suggestion to say that an upwardly mobile manager with skillful players in form and at a progressive club with a solid supportive fan base leave a job which am sure he likely to be remunerated well, something we can't do at all anymore BTW, even though we in London which is irrelevant, but proving himself with a club that potentially could hit the play offs which would be an amazing achievement why would he give all that up at this stage of his career to try to save a club in meltdown with a very disillusioned fan base and totally unmotivated players
Prove himself at Plymouth and there would be potential for him to attract a higher level club fornhis services. Ie top end Championship or lower end Premiership
Prove himself here by avoiding relegation, he would not be on the radar of higher level clubs because they would be questioning his ambitikns for joining ourselves in the first place.
There you go lovey. l can tell you attempting the wind up.
Not biting.
You silly billy !!!!
