Is he ever going to sign

  • #2
Read something that the deal has been held up on the players side. Not being funny but if he's not that interested in joining us then bin him off, he's hardly an inspiring signing anyway ffs.

Tell him to f.o then. League 1 player dictating to us. No one else desperate to sign him so leave him well alone if that's his crack.

He’s the best type of player we can hope to sign! I think if he scores goals from MF, assists and is a decent dead ball taker we need to get him in. Let’s face it if we get ANY offers for Field, he will be sold! If that’s the case we will need at least another 2 MF players, as I don’t fancy watching Dozzell all season just exchanging passes with our back 4 every game showing no ambition to get forward and score himself do you?!

We need to get bodies in to give ourself any chance but I understand it's difficult due to fair play rules .
Ainsworth has a huge task on his hands to keep us up

There can be a number of reasons why he hasn't signed , perhaps the club offered him digs on the white city .
It could be money , who knows

Rumour is that Ipswich came in for him, but securing a spot in that midfield will be hard, so maybe he should take a chance on us instead..eventually..

Having been earning Wycombe wages at his age its his last move to earn wedge for his family. Im sure he wants as much money out of this last contract as he can. Cant blame him, but there needs to be a deadline. Im sure he'll be 100% if he joins us.

You can't blame a player for sitting back and assessing his options. Players could break their knee in a friendly and suddenly the whole dynamic changes in terms of which clubs need to make signings, could be two more clubs sniffing around him come Monday and he could be looking at bagging a contract that pays him a few hundred thousand quid more over its term. There's no point us cutting our noses off by being petulant and telling him to get stuffed at this juncture. All we can do is have some "plan B's" lined up just in case.

Would suspect the deal being held up means its far more likely we will go for Leonard on loan.

Read in newspaper, Reading are restricted to £1,400 per week for new signings. Can't be Reading.
