Taarabt and Faurlin were the players with potential to sell for a profit, its about getting the balance right. If we didn't get promoted that season (and without the injuries Faulin got) then I have no doubt these two would have been sold on for good money.
Though the club has moved on there are still łanagers getting the most out of teams with a mentality ike this, though it rarely lasts, especially in the `modern` game, only so many ways you can say the same motivational catch phrases and get results. I loved Neil, and it was a shame when he was fired. But when he was i remember i was watching us against Man Utd thinking damn, we've run out of ideas. There was a good amount of raw talent in that team that paired with some grit and beilef was enough.

Now, some more of the same would be nice. I'd take what you say over hit and hope for a couple of years.

Big credit to Gaz for keeping us up. It wasn’t pretty but right now it does not matter. But the comparison to NC isn’t fair. Gaz has an almost full squad to choose from. NC was faced with our biggest injury crisis in years

Warburton, Beale and Critchley for me over Gaz every day of the week, but now we have Gaz and we have to make the best out of it.

Sorry to be negative after such a good end with 2 back to back away wins but i cant change my mind i really dont think GA is the man to take us forward next season

hope to be proved wrong but when he is sacked i really hope were not too nasty on him i think he just got very lucky with the win at Burnley and Stoke were just not bothered

for me its inevitable GA will be sacked around about 8 games in to next term

so dont let him bring his Wycombe players with him and look like hes been able to build a squad

let him go now and bring in Nathan Jones

sorry Gaz but its the way it is

The blokes just won two hard away games and kept us in the league , and they ain't his players
He's managed to get a lost , broken group of players to dig in and grind out two great results.
Well done to him , fk Beale , fk critchley and fk off Nathan Jones , it's time to support Gareth and get behind him next season
If after 10 games it's rubbish then I'm sure those above will look elsewhere .
But for now he deserves his chance with a team he'll put together in pre season hopefully.

              agree with the above post

however we all know deep down the first 10 games wont be good next term

really hope im proved wrong as i like AInsworth

              however i will say this

by some hoops very overrated as a player the term legend is easily dished out by some hes only in the bracket of player like Jamie Mackie Ian holloway and Clint Hill whole hearted but legend come on?

and very naive if you think hes a QPR manager

will get behind him but i know whats coming

we deserve good football at QPR

Just read that Uncle, SJ and Chris Martin have been specifically mentioned as "having his back". He did do well to get the team not conceeding so much after ages where we just couldn't keep the ball out of our net for the first 10 mins of any match.

Who is this mythical messiah who will take us on a journey to the promised land?

We are a modest sized club with no money. Anyone we will get will have downsides as well as upsides. How many managers have looked decent in lower leagues for a year or two and then done nothing? GA did well over a sustained period with a club a league lower than us. We are asking him to scale that up and need to give him the chance to do it. None of the names we have been linked with excite me sufficiently I think it would be worth risking changing yet again.

Give GA a chance to put together his own team and some breathing space to get them playing as he likes. Oh and have realistic expectations. We are lower end championship. Anything we get above that is a bonus.

Why do you have such a hard on for Nathan Jones? The guy is an absolute #### and has acheived nothing other than a reasonably well drilled Luton side, which are now better than with him at the helm.

I agree with everything other than this niggling thing Oslo first brought up, which is that GA's playing style over the years at Wycombe did not produce any sellable assets, we as a club can't grow without them, so in this breathing room we need to give GA, there needs to be a clear direction that 10% possession hoofball is not the go to.

It doesn't need to be pretty but it does need to be better than that.

Maybe its the way he chooses to comb his hair the parting he has made drives me insane

i bet he wears the finest cologne known to mankind also

on a serious note i dont know nor think hes the answer but has more of a chance being the answer than what GA has lets face it yes he loves the club but you cant get results armed with Love you do need some tactics

lucky against Burnely and beat a lacklustre Stoke side with nothing to play for

the results prior to that were unbelievable

remember we were 8 p[oints clear of the drop when GA took over

i actually think the answer is and was Mark Warburton but his lack of hair product probably stopped him getting his contract renewed
