It did happen y'know. You can't just stick your head in the sand and say it was simply mischief in the press. Fact is, a Premier League club wanted to take our manager off us.

Luckily, it didn't come to pass. However, it is indicative of the high regard Beale has in the game. It's a double-edged sword: we have ourselves one of the game's rising stars but we will probably have to fend off overtures for MB's services every month he's here. It happened. There was a rumour. The press and bookies got hold of it and it was blown up out of all proportions. 1 to 7 on at one time!
