yeah i agree with that, watching the bottom 10 teams in la liga is better than the bottom 10 in our own league, much better. but i prefer watching our top teams than theirs mainly due to the intensity that the spanish just dont have. also lets not forget the spanish defenders for the most part are pretty shite mainly cos they all started out skillful frontmen lol

See that I can agree with, the prem league has by far the best defenders. Maybe Dani Alves is a exception though

Premier League seems to have the perfect combination of speed and skill (not to mention the millionaire owners) that make it the best league at the mo.

Anyway back to Taarabt, the kid is doing well at international level 3 goals in 7 starts for Morroco. This tells me he has the stuff to make it - with or without us.

I think this has been a rough year on most at QPR and a 20 year old should not be judged on 1 turbulent season (a turbulent season that he has scored some stunning goals in). I will be gutted if he moves on in the summer

you seem to be forgetting that there are some really poor teams playing in la liga not just real and barca

Only game in spanish football worth watching is barca v real. The only game worth watching in italian football is inter v a.c. (would'nt watch any other games). No interest in german football. Not saying that they don't have really skillfull players..infact some of their play is breathtaking...but its so boringgggg!! Most games are a yawnfest. No-one wants to go all out to win. Plus the atmosphere at nearly all games are sithe. Went to barca v celtic 2 years ago and got into a taxi driven by an espanyol fan..he said the average away fans bring 50-100 (including barca). Some italian clubs have attendences of 10-15'000. Give me teams that want to win and passion between the fans anyday...we don't know how good we have it!!!!

                Amen brother.

And Taarabt will fade into obscurity in some backwater league. He needs to realise he is not as good as he thinks he is.

As they say in darts,'180's for show, doubles for dough'.

I wouldn't completely agree with this but I know what you mean in terms of technically ability he is streets ahead but then he's streets ahead of a lot of Premi players to, in terms of footballing knowledge and knowing when to pass, when to turn on the skill, and in terms of effort and work rate the guy shouldn't even be a professional footballer.

He could go massively far if he put the effort in and was willing to learn but I fear he will be one of those players who's ego will stop him progressing very far!

Having just watched Wigan v Spurs, someone should whisper 2 words in Taarabt's ear..

                    'Scott'

                    and

                    'Sinclair'
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are...

Technical ability means nothing if you don't know what to do with the ball regarding the players around you.

Might as well put the world keepie-uppie champion in the team if it's all about skill.

Exactly my point, in fact there was a guy who I used to live near who won a Nike skills competition and starred in a football advert for them doing kick ups etc. and he is unbelievably talented at this type of stuff, is he very good at football, not particularly!
