Good value for money strikers are few and far between, so give Dykes someone to play with, the obvious solution , in the short term maybe, is give Armstrong his head , more game time, he will either sink or swim!
The kid has some talent, no doubt, so why not unshackle him and see where it leads , can't hurt in my opinion
I agree, until we sign another forward, play Armstrong with Dykes, drop Johansen and give the captaincy to Dickie or Dunne.

Well there is always the option of a late substitution and push Dieng up front.

One attempt one on target one goal !!!!

So you would play 4-4-2 presumably with Chair and Willock as wingers? But then we have signed two wing backs to play full back. Plus who would be the two in midfield? It also suggest you haven't seen Beale's comments on Armstrong yet.

I would play 10 up front if I could, and Seny as well if we are losing 2-1 with a minute to go.

          No I haven’t seen Beale’s comments.

Not many suggestions, which says it all really.

Seen a couple of Peterborough strikers mentioned, we should never buy from them again. Their chairman gets huge value when selling players. Marriott would be a Washington signing, not for me.

Going to be plenty of players available for loan in the next week or so. It seems we're talking to Villa, so hopefully Archer. Jamal Lowe and possibly Dembele at Bournemouth. Greenwood at Leeds. Surridge at Forest to name a few who could find themselves being loaned out.

Interesting that Mick Beale was on talksport yesterday and said he was speaking to Gerrard and was talking about getting players in on loan. Is that a hint that we are after Cameron Archer and possibly another loan too?

Lewis Grabban is free, but can we afford him? i saw also that Lyle Taylor from Forest is free to leave, but is he better than Dykes, don´t about that. My best guess is a young striker season long loan from PL club and hope it is Archer. He might be best we can get

Yeah Grabban is free and I'd take him. It's strange he's not got a club yet, so maybe he is asking for silly money. If he is, he needs to wake up otherwise he'll be without a club.

I don't rate Taylor, no different to Dykes or Bonne.

Archer certainly ticks all the boxes but I think Villa need to sign an attacker for him to leave and then there's the question of bigger clubs wanting him. The only reason he'll end up here will be because of Beale, so let's hope he has big pull at Villa.

Grabban ,who was on about £25k, has been linked with West Brom although the fans don't want him. What's against him is that he is 35 this January.

Seriously though last five minutes, need one or two goals bring on substitute goalkeeper for an outfield player and push up Dieng. Five subs makes this a possible idea

He is a goalkeeper who definitely seems comfortable and unrushed when passing with his feet and the header he scored was an accomplished finish.

Work on it in training with Seny.

                      Why on earth not...

Rangers could be new pioneers with such tactics..

It's not as daft as it seems IMO

Yeah, he ain´t getting any younger, but if wages can be sorted then contract until end of the season. With good service he guarantee 10-15 goals

Not worth the money for a player who won't play every game and only managed 8 goals for Forest last season. He has been on a steady decline for last two seasons

Hopefully we will get a loan in. I am wondering if MB is hoping Bonne moves on for some kind of fee and that plus the wage saving will fund a half decent loan from a Prem club. Has made it obvious he is surplus to requirements even allowing for how short of bodies we are.

My gut feeling is we will only be able to move on Bonne for free or for a nominal fee of say £250k. Started great with Ipswich last season but completely dried up after then. Would be a risky signing at even League One level unless very cheap or free.

Don't know the likelihood of Cameron Archer actually coming on loan but all I'll say is he came on for AV last night against Bolton for 10 mins and what a player he looks! Who ever gets him will be very lucky.

Hopefully MB has sweet talked Gerrard enough.
