What exactly is the point of it?

I had assumed it would be inhabited by our most raucous support, y'know, the ones who standup all match at away games and chuck pints about in the concourse going "effing mental'..

Judging by TV pics it would seem there was a more genteel type of clientele in the rail seats and it wasn't the febrile hotbed of passion I expected.

This isn't me dissing those fans by the way, I'm a very docile quiet determinedly sat down fan meself - its more about clearing up my confusion about why/what/who sort of thing.

Chaps who remember the good ol' days and want to stand but need something to rest against before their knee and hip replacements are sorted....

A bit of nostalgia....just like wishing you could see Dire Straits play again.

More ###### from the owners to placate the supporters, keep the masses happy and they won’t rebel

I tried to explain what standing on the Loft in the 70’s was really like to a member of the customer services team once, she did not have a clue.

Rail seating, what a loads of bol locks.

It was like making love to a beautiful lady...
First you had to work out if you wanted to go to the front or the back. Once you were in position it was about getting yerself set and planted waiting for the inevitable surges that were coming

For a start the club should be reconsidering their prices, Im sorry but 36 pound on a matchday for a ticket? No wonder people are not turning up.

This clip of the Rodnee League Cup Final is smart.... not so many hats in the crowd compared to 1920s but still plenty of geezers all suited and booted. Speckless!

In those days you were lucky if you could afford a pint and there were no other 'influences'. Police were allowed to nip any problems in the bud without worrying about repercussions.

We had 12000 yesterday. I appreciate it's Rotherham who have a tiny fan base but looks like we're trying to compete with that. Can't blame the fans the whole set up and entertainment aspect is non existent. I feel for fans with season tickets.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
