I think one of the reasons Bonne hasn't played that much, other than the fact he rarely makes much out of the opportunities he gets, is that playing him more often will trigger add-on fees that depends on appearances.
I assume Bonne is on 7-8k a week. Freeing up salary for 10 months make up £300-400k or thereabout. That is a very important contribution towards a loan deal for a Premier League striker. If it could also save us some £250-500k in add-ons linked to the acquisition from Charlton (if the alternative would be to play him), the total contribution from getting Bonne off the books is significant.
I think it can define our season if manage to replace Bonne with a decent loan signing.
