Sadly we don't have a replacement in terms of the role we want Johannson to play for the team - the ball player of the early part of the season and end of last. His last decent game for us was probably our last decent game over all - reading at home where he ran the midfield - playing positive forward passes etc.

Sadly i think MW thought Hendrick would be that player but he clearly isn't! Although he somehow managed a good performance for the Irish recently.

Dozzell is the one we should be focusing on - At least he has an eye for a forward pass!
I'm purely using MW's words, who said he needs to be better than Stef to get his name on the team sheet....maybe that says a bit about his selection tactics.

Agree with Dozzell, he looks like he could come good.

The whole thing about what MW said is he has given the indication that Ball has no chance of getting even on the bench, if that's the way he encourages players we have no chance, because if he thinks that some of these midfield players is doing a good job he is on another planet.
Johansen seems to be doing what players that we signed in our last visit to the premier sign a contract and don't give a f uck, I'm on a nice little earner and these mugs are falling for it.

What do we have to lose by trying ANYTHING different than the pitiful pablum we've witnessed the past three months?

Play Dom, Luke, McCallum, Kakay versus Hendrick, Stefan, Wallace or (when he was healthier) Dickie?

          One more thing.

Will MW EVER be honest with us. When things are bad, say it. When players horribly underperform, admit it. When your coaching decisions aren't working, confess it.

Instead we get this raft of crap. Like no one has given up, the locker room is sound, we only need to win all of the rest of our games to prove this has only been a blip, that naysaying fans should pocket their criticism and stomach whatever the coach dishes out.

In America valid criticism is not squelched.
In Great Britain it seems such candor is out of order.

Seriously, what am I missing here?

We have too many players that won't take a risk , they're happy playing the safe ball backwards or sideways makes their stats look good ... Players need to be braver on the ball , try different things and not be afraid to take on defenders . The times I've seen Albert and moses run , stop , look up and play it back ... Take your man on , if u lose it go get it back and go again .

Field has been one of best players all season along with Willock & Dunne, don’t believe what I read on here sometimes

Hopeless man-mangement by OlliBurton once again. It was just a piece of info from Ball.

Ball was polite and respectful in his reply.

Not sure that Warburton is having a dig at him saying there are others ahead of him at the moment - Field who is the same position as Ball is by far a better more energetic player.

don't turn Ball into this magical player that suddenly is what we are missing - i seem to remember that when he was playing most on here thought he was pretty useless a yellow / red card waiting to happen.!

A good squad player who is there to do a job when required - eg..Blackpool at home when Sanderson got sent off.
A non story that Warburton turned into a story all by himself.

But when we are on an endless losing run I feel that Ball should be good enough to cover other positions than Field`s when needed . Just a few excamples: Johansen is just not in form, Neither is Dozzell, Hendrick is not doing anything etc. etc? And Ball is quite versatile, isn`t he. Last season, He was often so useful when the team needed to press the oppostion ? Of course an error waiting to happen also, I know - but anyway. Puuh, my hand is aching

There has been no disrespect as far as I can see and no cause to criticise either the player or the manager. As usual some people are becoming offended on behalf of someone else and venting. Typical really.

There is certainly an awful lot of love for a very basic footballer. We're a club that loves a trier. Probably because of the days of when we paid for mercenaries but let's not forget ball wouldn't of made any difference to our current dire run of games.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I really don't get this criticism.
It's happening on loads of platforms too.

lAre QPR supporters that thick that can't see you need different players to play different roles?
All teams need different types of players to make a team.
What do they want tarrabts all over the pitch?

Guts and heart can do wonders in a team.
It lifts other players who are technically better.
To make a team you need all sorts you know this weare.
To make a team you need lots of contributions I have seen this first hand too

I do Dave tbf but ball certainly was no Shaun Derry. I want a ball winning midfielder to be a tough tackling leader, who will gee his team members up when they need it yet protect them when they're being targeted. The team has no backbone Dave and ball won't change that fact!
