If there's one thing I admire about MW is his absolute honesty in his post match interviews, credit where it's due.
He recognises the fans discontent and the problems in the team, but what he doesn't have a clue about is how to do anything about it, and that's his downfall unfortunately, and that's why, sadly ,he is in affect a dead man walking Can't carry on with this mess any longer, it's embarrassing how bad a team we have become, when a short while ago the aspirations were so high from manager, team and fans alike

He can be as frank as he wants and let's be frank, it is his squad, his team, his tactics and his formation. He makes all the decisions and keeps getting them wrong, especially with substitutions. We never seem to have a settled first team, he's always tinkering to try and resolve his poor original choices. After so many games where it is blindingly clear that his formation is shite, he keeps on plodding along- hoping for a miracle. The blokes a total joke.

I'm in no way defending him, he should be gone, don't get me wrong on that fact

The problem has been imo, and it pains me to say it, Charlie has been absolutely abysmal, especially compared to last season when he saved us from the drop and nearly got playoffs.
We make chances and we don't have forwards good enough take them.
Gray is over the hill too.
As for Dykes he is a backup striker at best just not clinical.
That is our problem, and then with a dodgy defence prone to any pace and ball over the top we concede.
And then under pressure the chances created dry up too.
All very depressing when we thought what we could have gained but we are punching above our weight

Guys I think he has no clue when things start tom go wrong I agree ask any Forest fan when he was their manager, but we have a low budget and to be fair he has not done a bad job since being in but not a great job. Lastly think before we sack who are we gonna get in Pep, Conti, Klopp?????????????? no another manager with no real pedigree and hope he does well, we've done that too much in the past. Yes I agree he does not know what to do 100% agree with that and his substitutions are dire yes agree with that also

Let’s divide all of this into two pieces: management and coaching.

Management, Lee and Les, are most responsible for steadying the club vis a vis the budget, the players, and the trajectory.

            Lee especially.

Kudos to them for getting us back in shape.

The coaching is a different matter. While MW is a nice and classy person, he is clearly not a tactical or motivational heavyweight at a time in the game where both are needed.

The path forward looks uncertain at best with a mediocre coach. After giving MW a respectful exit, it’s time to move on.

Why would u take off gray and Amos and replace them with Austin and Hendrick . Is there more goals in Austin , Hendrick and Thomas no there isn't . This was our easiest game on paper and they we're 9/2 with Ladbrokes .. god help us we've got Fulham at home next . We can't string 3 passes together , constantly cutback to the defence who are slow and ponderous .

If nothing is done to rectify this quickly, Fulham will rip us apart.

A well informed tweeter who has given incomings in the past, has tweeted that his info is Barbet won't sign a new contract and returning to France.
If that is the reason he's not playing that is complete madness. Barbet has been our best defender and even if he is leaving you play the best players.
It's not like Sanderson is here next season anyway
Obviously this is second hand info but a normally reliable one

That passing back has really irritated me this season.
Up until our losing streak I put up with it but we went from a team creating loads to a team playing football chess

I agree, if Barbet is leaving it makes no sense to drop him with just 10 games to go. Stick with our best 3 centre backs and push for promotion. It's childish and a case of cutting your nose off to spite your face. Sanderson came here to be backup incase of injuries but no, we drop Barbet move Dunne to left centre, move Dickie to the center just to accomodate Sanderson, MADNESS ! We had a settled back 3 who for the most part have had a decent season. The have a good understanding. Barbet being left footed gives us a balance at the back. Yesterday they looked very uncomfortable in their new positions.

If that is the reason for dropping Barbet it is clear that Warburton has lost the plot. As said, Sanderson is only here on loan anyway.

I agree that Austin has not performed as he did last season, but let’s not forget that he came into the side and partnered Dykes not perform as a lone striker.

I went to the game with a family member watching us for the 1st time and that was an embarrassing performance apart from the opening 40 minutes.

Does anybody else think MW will fall on his sword at the end of the season if either we don't make the playoffs ( probably a certainty now) or the board don't sack him?

He should walk or be sacked. He and the club have openly stated that the playoffs were the target. He's been backed in the market yet his ideaology about having small squads has backfired massively. 4 keepers and 4 wingbacks being injured tells us that.

He didn't replace chair for the afcon, then puts him straight back in when he didn't earn his spot. Hendrick coming in was the final straw. The guy isn't suited to how we play and all he's done is push dozzell and ball down the pecking order. This and his bizarre substitutions have sealed his fate for me. He's a clever man, not a clever football manager though.
