kev we wouldn't say that. You're right to question the manager when you have top class managers out there that are available and bring a wealth of technical experience. At the end of the day it comes to expectations. Would you be happy with mid table well then I would say stick with Mark Warburton. I just don't think we're looking like a top 6 side under his guidance. We can't say well that's where we are when we're only half way through the season.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Under his guidance or due to the budget? We're doing better than WBA whose budget is probably 4x ours. Look how well Luton are doing too.

If promotion doesn't happen we have some decent players who will command sizeable fees. I'd be amazed if we didnt generate £30m in players sales in the summer and with good scouting we'll have a more balanced squad next season.

Whatever happens we're getting better season on season. We're lucky to have a manager who doesnt ask how much he can spend before thinking about joining us.

I think we should go for "Sir Alex Ferguson".

Guy needs a new challenge after time to lick his wounds.

Ultimately he will be excited by the project and consider his own four year plan and if he wants to recreate his elite status, what better way taking over an upwardly mobile London club, desperate for our place in the sun, once more..

Warbs out !!! Fergie in !!!+

I think my point has been misconstrued by some on this thread, I definately was not saying we need to get rid of MW, in fact I was saying the exact opposite, my point was intended to highlight the fact that others had called it and that it is totally wrong for them to do that,

We have been a top six side since early November which would suggest we are looking like a top six side …there is over 3/4 of the season gone so we are not halfway through
we are the 4th best team in the league at home
the 6th best team in the league away from home
the 5th best team in the league on points per game
the 3rd best team in the league on goals scored.

none of the above points to us being a mid table team as you suggest.

I don’t know why you seem to have taken against Warburton but the facts would suggest that he is doing a better job than you give him credit for.

These are all facts, facts don't lie.

On opinion though, do we really look good? When we were on some of our good runs we'd see comments that we were doing so 'while playing poorly' or 'just nicked that one' or so on. We've played some lovely football under Warbs, but some things need to be adjusted to get us back to paying like that regularly. Part of this, again opinion, is that teams have learnt that if you press and harass us we fall back.

I think he's the man to do it, because he's already done it. It's instructions and formation adjustments to current personnel or it's some new personnel that can better execute his plans.

Not a chance we will generate 30m in player sales? Who would we sell to command those figures. Willock is prob worth around 10-12 million. Chair maybe 10m. Can't see anyone else being sold. Dunne will be our biggest asset in the next few years imo.

interesting..... so when we win we have to look good too? ...we can't all be man city ...plus i dispute the we don't look good theme

yes we have dipped in form over the last month but within that we have played some good football.

                  recently
we looked good against Hull in the second half
we were playing well against blackpool until the sending off - and no-one left that game unhappy!
we were good in periods home to middlesboro
We were wasteful but not poor away to Barnsley
                  we thrashed reading
                  we outplayed West brom
we were unlucky against 12 men bournemouth

                  We were poor at

                  Blackburn away
                  Millwall away
                  Peterborough in the cup
                  stoke at home
swansea at home (although they got the 0-0 they came for)

the wins at Bristol , Coventry and Birmingham were games that could have gone either way but didn't as we found out ways to grind out a result.

I am prepared to criticise when its due and saturday was definitely one of our worst performances of the last 2 seasons but that doesn't then have to translate into we are a mid table team and the manager has to go!

For what it`s worth: My opinion is that he deserves to start the next season well equipped with players, but I hope he will improve a bit when it comes to changing tactics, pick fringe players more often and first and foremost make his substitutions a bit earlier than he has done up till now.

Stop the 5 a side at the back , more energy in midfield and a striker that can score goals .

No it doesn't have to look good necessarily. some how Man Utd are 4th and look horrible.

I just don't think we have been all that convincing on the whole this year, i'd take some of your first examples and disagree. Barnsley in particular.

Much of the frustration of recent weeks has been born of the fact we can play very well and have played very well, and for quite a while now we haven't. At first it didn't matter, as you say we found ways to win. But looked at on the whole we've been on a bit of a slide performance wise and now the results are not going our way.

                          Dieng 5-8m

There's £33-42m and if players want to earn more or play in the premiership then all four could leave. I think we'll cash in if they don't sign new contracts.

If we got £30m for those four I think a lot of fans will feel robbed. I could see all four leave if we dont do up.

Money in the bank and we look for near end if contract players, free transfers and talented players from L1 and L2 and the process starts again after balancing the books.
