  • Post on behalf of ukrainian qpr fans

Greetings all, I am writing this as requested by several QPR fans who are Ukrainians. I know most of them personally, having visited them in different years before all this current mess started. They asked me to write this on their behalf because they do not speak English very well. They want to express their gratitude to people of Britain for the overwhelming support in the recent days, in particular the UK initiative to allow your volunteers to enlist in the new international brigade. These QPR fans - Vadik, Anatoly and Sergey (we have decided not to disclose their towns for safety reasons) - are safe for now and hopefully will remain so, the inept invaders having failed to reach their residential areas. Attached to this post are their photos that they wanted me to share with you. May peace return soon!

Thinking of you all and hope you can stay safe.

Russia couldn't defeat Afghanistan and with the world against them they will never defeat a strong country like the Ukraine.

As sanctions bite hopefully there's one of Putin's inner circle who will put a bullet in his head!

None work for me, but I get the same with other links on here too.
Maybe it's to do with our own devices or our 'admin rights' on this site.

Also, I agree with Sheep and said this to a family member on Thursday morning. The only way to stop this madness soon will be for that or his military generals to defy his orders and overthrow him for the benefit of all Russia and mankind. I won't hold my breath for either.

Putin has made a big mistake, this will finish him. Russians don't want this, he does. The question is who will break him first, the Wests sanctions, the Russian people, his military or something else.

The Ukranians have been heroic in their attitude and actions to this aggression and it seems to have galvanised literally everyone else, wouldn't be surprised to see China fall in line behind everyone else.

Hope I'm right. I hope something follows Putin that is not worse.

Hope you are right. The problem is Russians do not see what we see due to state media and restrictions/bans on social media. They get spoon fed whatever Putin wants so he still retains a lot of domestic support. The west will be presented as the enemy going to economic war with Russia to try and break them and to edge Nato/EU closer to Russia's borders.

The targeting of Russia's oligarchs is interesting though as they are important to Putin. With any luck they and pressure from elsewhere will eventually force him to re-evaluate.

Unfortunately our media is no different to that of Russia, along with all the social media sites we use.
Balanced and investigative journalism died many years ago.
                          Fingers crossed this ends swiftly.

Give it a month and China will invade Taiwan and take control of 50% of the worlds semiconductor manufacturing. As they're both at it the Argie's will have another go for the Falklands. I'm not convinced Spain will invade Gib though.

"Order out of chaos" and all will get sorted eventually.

China has softened up the West with the COVID release and they and Russia are going for the kill.

Definitely on a knife edge isn't it.

Right now I have a feeling that Russian public sentiment would be starting to question what's going on in Ukraine, their country is getting hammered and it's going to hurt them for a while. Push them too hard though and they'll galvanise.

This is an extremely good test to see how far a country with ambitions for expansion can push things.

So sad that people are getting caught up in this, even sadder that this goes on often but it's never 24/7 news on every channel like it is now.
