I'd tolerate SWP for that goal against The Scum when we beat them at the public lavatory over New Years

As for Anton, he doesn't strike me as someone who even has any sort of emotional or off-field connection to our club. Doesn't make sense to brand him "one of ours".

Bardsley far more worthy as others have said
it's a disgrace that bardsley hasn't been inducted but not surprised. He fell out with the club a few years ago. He started the qpr academy based in the u.s and the club refused to associate themselves with it. Don't think he even speaks to anyone involved with the club anymore which is a shame.

When you look at the names of people on that list and then see no david bardsley it's clearly personal and not based on the service and quality the player gave the club.

You've answered the question..... recipients or inductees have to accept the invite don't they? Clearly Bardsley will (or did) tell the club to eff off if he was sounded out about Forever Rs.

Anton Ferdinand will never be a hero to this R.

I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

To think he's following Terry Fenwick into this, it's an absolute farce and an insult to all the other inductees who are true legends, the club or committee or whoever decides this have shot themselves in the foot here, just by the response from people on this site never mind every other fan

Exactly. Makes the whole thing a farce by putting this guy in it. Literally dragging people off the street at this rate. He was a crap footballer. Who even recommended him for the forever r's? They need a slap!

I know not every person on that list is a club legend e.g Karl ready who was average at best but in comparison to a donkey like anton he looks like Beckenbauer!

We have inducted him to show support against racism and to show that we were there for him through his must difficult part in his career. You don’t need to be a good player to be inducted, it’s about showing support to a person. Some opinions on here are getting worse.

He should be lauded for his stand against racism, and also the club for supporting him. All rightly so.
However, Forever R's must surely be about how a person performs within the team. Sadly Anton simply does not fit within the remit of a player who is even fondly remembered.
My opinion of him being overpaid and underperforming, has nothing to do with anything other than his ability on the pitch.

But the club are showing him that during what was his most difficult time in his life, being accused of lying about what JT said, people saying he made it up as he was jealous. This is the club showing him that they support him still to this day and justice wasn’t done. Is that not something we should get behind? Maybe it’s too PC but I’m with it.

The club publicly supported him during the racism thing, this is not about all that, this is about service and loyalty and commitment to the club over a number of years, he didn't really do any of that, only 49 games for the club on over inflated wages, no real return in his pitch performances, there are kids in the under 18 ' s and under 23 's who have played more games for the club!!!
This is not a popular choice for the majority of fans
