    Not arguing? Just discussing.

Found this from the minutes of the first meeting; I think Anton fits the bill of embracing former players and being part of something, given what he's been through.

        Vision, Mission & Criteria
 Vision and Mission as detailed in presentation was agreed.
Criteria – All players would be invited to join the Club.
 Agreed that this would not be a Club that would provide funds to Former Players who may be ill or experiencing financial hardship. The PFA perform this role for its members.

“We want to create a platform to ensure QPR’s former players continue to feel engaged and part of the QPR family.

“As a club, we want to recognise, celebrate and embrace former QPR players by engaging them on a regular basis.

“As a former player myself, I know how important and special it is to be recognised by the club and feel part of it once our playing days are over.

“I am sure The Forever R’s Club will be a great way of saying thank you to former players, as well as engaging with them for many years to come.”

Can you imagine if there were such a thing as a Forever Forest club. They would have to hire Wembley for just the last few seasons.

Some opinions on here are getting worse?
What is the inference with that comment?

I asked him that as well, he cocked a deaf un.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

It's not really relevant to be honest. We should just agree it was a good touch from the club and move on

Totally relevant as the way I read it was if you didn't agree with him being inducted then somehow it was racist.
I take umbrage if that was the case.

That's fair, but Forever R's as stated above isn't about how many matches you played or goals you scored.

I am referee of course.. just doing what you asked me to do the other week. Sorry, you're like my wife, I dont know where I stand 'haha'

It's not relevant, I tell you why.

Because the club isn't about how well you did or didnt play. So if you dont like the bloke, thats just your agenda, or the fact you dont agree with the club.

Race isn't a problem, if you assume thats why he meant, it's again your agenda.

Either get on board that he was introduced to the club for reasons not just because he played for us or dont but dont dig a hole around race.

The more you argue it, the more it makes me wonder what the issue is.

This is getting a bit out of hand, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, we all agree with that, there doesn't always have to be a hidden agenda in people's comments, people just say it how they see it sometimes, Anton is obviously a " marmite" case here, personally,as I started this thread, I was surprised that he was included in Forever R's, a lot of people expressed the same opinion, but there has been a contrary and eloquent case bought by others, which should be treated with respect.
Maybe it's time to put this one to bed, agree to differ, like gentlemen, and move on to more pressing matters. All agreed ?

If any posters want to reach out to the Mods and comment on referee standards you can email them here

If anyone thinks they can do better and offer to take over from existing referees feel free to put your names forward. I'm sure some referees would love a break from "volunteering". We can all share the love.
