I think we are more than 3 or 4 players off premier league quality ...especially to stay in the league ..Maybe the Keeper , Dickie, Chair and Willock. Other than that can you see any of the rest of the squad making into to first 11 of any of the bottom 6 teams in the Premier league!

Apart form the money this squad is no where near ready to go up ..Look at Norwich that team practically walked the league last year...if we go up via the play offs it would be to get money to come back down and try again with a stronger squad the following season ..although again that hasn't worked for Norwich ..i think bournemouth are a good comparison for us so it will be interesting to see how they do next season.

For me this season has been great ..we are entertaining... we score goals...we can play some great football on our day ...and a day out at Wembley at the end of it all would be fantastic...would i like to win it ..yes of course.

This is one of the toughest leagues in the world. Teams that you thought would get battered every week that have gone up in the last few years are still there and are now mainstay Prem teams.

Very hard to touch the top 6 but as West Ham and Leicester, and to a lesser extent Wolves, Brighton, Burnley, Watford and Brentford have proven, you can be competitive as a promoted team.

We are definitely punching above our weight though. I don't see this team as doing well in the Premier League, we are 3/4 quality players off that.

Wolves, Brighton, Burnley, Watford, Brentford, and you can add Palace Norwich and Leeds to that list as well, the majority of which will be back in the championship within the next couple of seasons.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Only by the fact that 3 teams have to be relegated, of the Premier League 20 clubs there are 6-8 teams that have next to zero chance of relegation. So of course some of the clubs that go up come straight back down or just hang in for one season, but several don't. The majority of 8 -10 teams cannot get relegated, only 3 can.

Leicester are an absolute prime example of what is possible and several other teams are also testament to this. Sensible, pragmatic ownership is the common theme to most of the clubs that make this happen, Watford being the exception. I think this club is on the way to that model working.

I hope you are right, but Rangers would start in the premiership in a very poor position.

A sub standard stadium with anywhere from 10,000 to 57,000 seats less than all other teams, a new training ground still a couple of years away, and a new stadium still a pipe dream, an ageing playing squad that would nearly all need replacing.

We are years away from being a Leicester City.

We would struggle no matter how well we are managed, but, hey take their money and run.

I think you can add an aging supporter base too. That's my observations from match days. Core support seems to be in the 35-55 bracket......?

                  In life no.

But for a football club it shows a diminishing supporter base. Support used to be for those with money on the hip, teenagers and the 20s without big financial commitments. Perhaps this age group have grown up supporting Chelsea and Fulham.........?

Just an observation written down on the back of a fag packet. It would be good to see supporter age stats vs our local rivals though.

We wont be attracting many new young fans whilst in the Championship that's for sure. Most kids want to support Premiership sides that they can watch on TV or other screens.

If we can get to the Premiership and slowly build up our squad over a few seasons (maybe as a yo yo club) for a while we might just attract new younger fans to begin to fill up a few more seats in the new stadium (whenever it gets built).

As for criticizing the squad or performance, I am just pleased that we went through to round 4 after all those disappointing 3rd round losses in recent years.

I ski cross country at a Conservation Area 5 minutes from my home, when I ski downhill a 2 hour drive is required either to northern Ontario or Western New York!

We are 3 hours from the French Pyrenees, 4 hours to Andorra, 3 hours to the Central Massif or a days drive to the French Alps.

We love the Italian Dolomites, they are fantastic, 2 day drive.
