Don't think we have the slowest. Most centre backs in this league aren't quick. Look at other teams. They all have at least one centre back who aren't winning any foot races. Cahill at Bournemouth isn't any quicker than what we have. Jimmy Dunne isn't slow by any means. Barbet gets caught out because his concentration is lacking now and again where is caught ball watching. Dickie gets beat cos he thinks he can dribble way up the pitch and gets dispossessed. The way we are set up doesn't help us. Acres of space down the flanks and we are asking 3 lads who are all 6 foot 3 plus to sprint like Usain bolt.
Bradley at Luton is a complete carthorse. Cooper at millwall. Slow. Morrison at Cardiff. Slow. Egan at sheff utd. One paced. Forest signed Steve Cook who most on here said is decent but not quick.
A centre back who is young, quick and can play a bit won't be in this league for long. They will be playing in the prem soon enough.

Masterson isn't that quick. Jordi is prob around the same as Dunne in terms of pace. We aren't being linked with quick cbs are we so the manager clearly puts being good technically and a good athlete ahead of being rapid but can't pass for s***.

Going 3 at the back has made him more susceptible to being isolated. Dunne is quick enough for me. Barbet is barbet unfortunately. He's not slow with his feet, just slow in his head!! Having no suitable defensive central midfielder has made it easier for us to be opened up through the middle. Field being back in the team has negated that.

If as being reported on the club official website today that Jordy is 3 weeks away from returning to 1st team duties why were the club sniffing around another C/B when other areas of the team appear more urgent.
Masterson looked more reliable than Barbet imo when they were both first introduced into the team a couple of years ago,I would say that Barbet has improved since but i find it hard to believe Masterson is not more than capable of being a decent back up at C/B for what remains of this season.
The only sensible suggestion would be that there are potential offers on the table for perhaps Dickie or another.

Could well be a case of getting an experienced centre back in before dickie gets sold which seems the most likely sale if we did lose someone in this window. That way we have experience to come in rather than throw masterson in and hope he hits the ground running....literally!! De wijs is a nightmare when looking long term. The guy gets injured putting his boots by the sounds of it. Could be moved on in the summer I reckon. Same for moses who is now playing for his future.
