  • The Training Ground

Do the club publish regular progress updates on the new training ground?

I have searched the website and cannot find anything.

It would be nice to see what is going on with the building work.

I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

If you listen to the management talking about finances, I'm surprised we can afford a new training top, nevermind a new training ground, !!!!

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Probably different budgets with regards to FFP.

I would be interested to know how things are developing.
Regarding finances, I think the costs are covered by the bond we invested in.

Infrastructure improvements and development teams are excluded from FFP calculations.

Well they only finished dotting the Is and crossing the Ts of the QPR Bond Scheme at end of November. That put a wedge of a finance in place but I wouldn't expect much to have happened since aside from tendering for builders and negotiating with utilities over water, electricity and what not - surely we're months away from JCBs tearing the land up.
I would assume initial groundwork would be pencilled in for Spring?

There were photos on here a month ago of diggers at work on the site.

Some good news to report. The training ground at Heston has been formally approved by the Secretary of State. Pitch works set to begin on the 1st October, and will take nine months to complete. Formal construction will begin by the end of the calendar year. A massive congratulations to the board and everyone involved for
