Todays was a step too far, injuries took their toll and formation with the players available did not work, should have played a flat back 4 with Field sitting in front of defence, poor Field was wasted as left wing back.
Barbets passing today was woeful and Dickie was poor, first 45 only Willock had a decent game.
Second half although a bit disjointed was much better, we actually created enough chances to win.
Had Austin scored from the pen instead of his pathetic scuff I believe we would have gone on to win.
Thought Amos and Thomas looked lively but today it all went pear shaped.

Need to dust ourselves down, get key players fit and strengthen squad in January, typical Rangers performance when things are going so well.

Who should take next pen? I'm thinking one of the ,"D's".... Dunn, Dickie or Dieng. I suppose goalie can't really take one in case he duffs it and they go up other end and stick it In the unguarded net.

Willock or stef. Austin is still not his old self. A good game at Derby and scoring against Luton doesn't cover how poor he's been overall this season.

Typical that both Albert and moses were missing today. We could have managed today without one but not both. We looked sluggish today and the efforts of the last couple of weeks seemed to have taken its toll already.

Maybe we are rushing players back too soon?? Wallace, moses and Sam all suffered a reoccurrence of the same injury. It was only a matter of time before Albert was going to pull up. Starting a guy who is almost 34 at wing back every week is asking for trouble.

Way to lenient Romford however you have got one thing right in questioning the managers tactics or lack of them. Today wasn't about our players losing to Stoke it was about our manager coming up against an international manager who had a plan, a set up and really knew if they counter attack with pace then letting us play keep ball suits his team to the ground.

Agree, It seems we have a bit of a blinkered manager, he should have used the players available not try to shoe horn them in to asystem.

Just play people in their natural positions for a start. Field at lwb?? Ffs. I like amos but not sure what difference he makes. Still very lightweight but worth a try. We need fit wing backs. Without them we are ####ed.

Agree about not fitting in players just to keep a formation.
we should have played 4 at the back . Warburton did a similar thing last season with Field when he played him at CB and ruined the CM partnership with Johansen and we lost that game too.
Of course if Austin scored the pen things might have turned out better.
