I honestly don't think the Mittals are that stupid. They'll find a manager and let him do transfer dealings. Fingers crossed

What will he be overseeing then?

I can't see what use he is to the club

        I have NO doubt

That an English manager will be appointed and by his appointment, you will know that he will have full control of players incomings and outgoings

The Peter Reid rumour might be true then?

The thing is if we need to make a permenant appointment not one to the end of the season. Coppell and Curbishley are free, so go get one of them it is not rocket science. All this talk of Dowie concerns me a lot as I still think he could get us relegated, I really don't rate him.

Appoint Coppell or Curbishley, finish the season strongly then go for it next year. Oh and for the record if we appoint Dowie I will remain unconvinced about GP's role in transfers.

Hopefully its a ambassadors role, as I think the Mittals can't go to every single game home and away

And he might leave in March according to some

agree with that. Especially has we have heard how they are " great mates" and it was Flav who Dowie didn't get on with.

Sounds like another puppet for the saviour

Have to say you and W12ranger stand out like a sore thumb

Really don't know why you are putting a dampener on things.

First and foremost we need to win footbal matches, the rest can follow.

For just one night can we not just be happy? We don't have many nights like this being a QPR Fan

Mate i'm happy, but as you will know, some things are too good to be true.

I will feel alot better when we appoint the right man and Gianni walks away from the club.

Until then, I will only have a "semi"

Totally agree! Let's give the Mittals time to show us their intensions. Hopefully they will bring the "family club" feeling back. If in pre-season we sign Caleb Folan and some dodgy italian, then we can go back to screaming for Giannis head on a plate

This is the best news since...bloody ages! Can't understand anyone beeing negative tonight

Really well I have just flicked through Dot.Org, LFW, Indyr's & Reports site and every forum has threads with various posters asking the same questions about when's Paladini going. Have a look if you don't believe me, myself and Terry do not represent a minority we are not trying to put a dampener on things. I have spoken with Terry on the PM and he is over joyed at the news as am I but equally both of us are frustrated about Paladinis new position.

GP new position? The chairman position is merely an ambassadors role at this club with Saksena, Amit and the Mittals calling the shots. Try and look at it in a positive way, Giannis new position is that he has been REMOVED as sporting director

Honestly, all of this winds me up. You have spent the last three years re-assuring us that the manager has been in charge and now you post this! We all know the truth; Paladini has been bringing players in over the managers head since GiGi was the 'Puppet / Manager' and yet you have tried to convince us otherwise.

I just cannot fathom how you (and others) cannot see that post-Chris Wright, Paladini is the one constant that has been here during all of the depressing times we've had in the last few years. His accounting failed to balance the books year in year out increasing the debt and just when we had the chance to spend money wisely, he's spunked funds up the wall on poor players and has managed to bringin loanee after loanee into our club for some reason, which can't be that tough to work out, surely.

He HAS to go if we are to have a fresh start under the Mittals. No matter what a nice bloke he may be (although I'm not convinced), he is a parasite and is very good at manipulating the fan base through you and this site.

Honestly, the belief in this site just beggars belief some times; most posters seem to have at least half a brain, but then they swallow this ****e.

                            Altogether now:

"Gianni Paladini went to Rome to see the Pope,
Gianni Paladini went to Rome to see the Pope,
Gianni Paladini went to Rome to see the Pope,
And this is what he said

                            F** Off

                            Glory, Glory Queens Park Rangers,
                            Glory, Glory Queens Park Rangers,
                            etc., etc.
                            "

If I see Warnock, Coppell or Curbishley come in I will be positive as they are their own men, until then I'll remain sceptical.

If I have learnt one thing from the past 2.5 years it is not to be over optimistic with this club anymore, maybe its the rest of you who should air on the side of caution.

I have no doubt this news will lift the club and keep us in this division but there is a long way to go and still a lot of bridges to be built with the fans.

I look forward to Amit attempting to rebuild this football club, I just hope The Mittals live up to all the hype.

Honestly Davman I can't see how you can focus on Paladini tonight. Flavio is gone, you should be out celebrating and getting drunk as a skunk(I know I will). You can go back to hating Gianni tomorrow, but tonight should be about the Mittals!
