Top 6 is achievable we’ve had some injuries to key players
wallace has been the biggest loss
field I think compliments Stefan powerful and can play
but also Dozzell has just come in and looks a good find for 1m,

warbs has had to play people out of position Albert has done very well at rwb fully committed some of the losses wba was down to mistakes

I think a couple more may come in jan if we’re up there imo but big shout to Dunne the lads not really played but I think theres a player in him

Once the club or fans start chucking in mitigation like "no easy games" or "its a tough league" or "anyone can be beat anyone" we will lose to a Peterborough or a Barnsley and finish 8th or something.
I think our goal should be to STAY in the top 6, not "keep in touch". Keep in touch with top 2 and stay in top 6. Again, I guarantee that aiming to keep in touch and "see what happens" will result in another season in EFL next year.
      I get what you're saying

      We're too timid to believe

Too timid to believe we can win every game as it comes. Too timid, we have to fall back on the excuses ("tough league" "anyone can beat anyone on their day" ) That's just looking for an excuse not to win, and translates into too timid to make that tackle, too timid to strike forwards (play safe and pass along the line at the back instead), and so the edge is lost.

The fans get tarred by the same hesitancy

We can do it. We won't top the league, but we can come close if we believe.

      Hallelujah

Ooops, sorry got a bit carried away there.

I tend to I agree . Need to believe . I also took from Warburtons interview post game that he’s blaming the schedule and games for Grays injury . Don’t agree with that as he’s hardly played . I think Warburton needs to wind his neck in a little over the schedule . Ok to think it but it’s every interview now

Agreed. The number of games and frequency is no different for any team.

Yep. It's same for all 24 clubs. Funnily enough they're all hard games for all 24 clubs too. Sooner the excuses and whining stops the better. It's not just about us either, it's about how our opponents perceive us. We can be poxy little QPR with no money hoping to pick up a point or two here and there OR the QPR machine that is grinding its way to playoffs. Which QPR d'ya think Blackpool want to face on Saturday? Yeah, it might just be semantics but if it introduces 1% of trepidation into the opposition it's worth it.

Frankly, I'd love to get hold of some Warnock spirit and belligerence and infuse it into Warburton at the moment. I'm not talking about coaching - it's purely mindset and attitude.

Should be using last night as an opportunity for some chest-thumping and a declaration of future intent, it's not the time for introducing ANY caution or guardedness in my view.

He's doing a Fergie to deflect blame away from the players. I think I can safely say that what gets said during interviews does not compare generally to what gets said behind the scenes. Unless you're Sherwood who seemed quite happy to out his players in public whilst crying his eyes out.

As someone said to me once, a good manager takes all the sh1t and passes on all the praise when dealing will senior management. Then you have your chats with your staff in private. Football shouldnt be any different to motivate the people that work for you.

We take 3 points and a clean sheet away from home last night and all we get today is how poor our managers attitude and mindset is , god help him when we lose again .

I thought yesterday was an example of good game management, we withstood a bit of pressure in the end but were comfortable and patient overall, Cardiff were not going to be easy to play through but we stuck to a plan and got the deserved 3 points even though many of us were sh****ing ourselves in the waning moments!

We still have Field to come back and a number of players haven't quite reached the same performance level as last season yet.

I personally rate us as having an outside chance but I will take that any day over the dross we have endured before bread man came. Also has to be remembered we don't have much money so I do think it a real achievement we are doing what we are in such a competitive league.
Also got Wallace to come back..think he has been a big miss.

I think the gaffer comes across well in post match interviews, he always seems to be honest about how we have played be it good or bad, all managers in all leagues moan about the fixture schedule at some point, I wasn't enamored when he came to us, but he has won me over to a large degree,. Like most I'm finding our current run of form extremely frustrating to the point of annoyance, but sitting 5th , roughly a 3rd of the way through the season, we can't be that unhappy can we?
