I think there are a lot of dodgy dealings in football and hopefully we're clean with our current owners.

Sport is the only thing that folks will consistently pay subscriptions to watch or stream. Football being the world's most popular sport is therefore the biggest cash cow there is and will attract more and more attention from investment banks, hedge funds and the shady outliers in the world of finance. Within all this there will be fixers and administrators all wanting their piece of the pie.... the amount of bungs, sweetners, inducements and bribes will be astonishing. It will all go on in broad daylight in front of our eyes too.
Aren't FIFA eyeing up moving from Zurich to NY..... only reason for this is to get near Wall Street.

Theres two reasons why England dont get the world cup

1, is corruption
2, sadly we balls it up with debacles like the final v Italy and non ticket fans getting inside

If what happened at Wembley happened in say Qatar or Moscow do you think those countries would plaster it all over the news and media for a month and still be wringing their hands about it months later? Nah, they'd declare it a success, deny anything happened, blame hostile states for spreading rumour/fake news and turn it into a "win". We are a bunch of mugs in this country- that's why we don't get world Cup.
Best bit is most folks will say they'd rather have a cleam conscience than sully themselves by playing dirty to get the prize. Theyre a bunch of Wallys in my view.
