How the hell are we going to keep him here before the window shuts , or do we just resign ourselves to losing him, for good money and try and get a replacement in or stick with who we have , maybe get another forward in .

Unless it's a bid of 25m plus then we are under no pressure to sell. The club have given the manager the backing for this season. He has all the players that he asked for. Dickie is a big part of this season. He will only go if the club receive a ridiculous offer. Fingers crossed he stays here for at least one more year.

Let him look amazing in the cup. Tbh I'm delighted he was very average and not himself when playing on sky sports against Barnsley. That was nearly more important than 3ptsI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Unless £30m or some such ridiculous sum is on the table in the next week, he's NOT FOR SALE. Keep him for one season. If we do get promoted, he comes up with us as a PL player,. If not we cut our losses, and sell him to the highest bidder over, say £15m.
Simple.

Even if Dickie stays with us this season his value will only go up. It will only drop if he gets injured and is out of action for some time.
Whether we go up or not this season he will be worth at least £30-£35 million next summer. He's a very talented player.
I think he will be with us until the end of the season.
Even if we go up he may still be sold. Going up is our only way of keeping Dickie. The owners know that.

Think some fans are getting a bit enthusiastic about the price! I think he's great too but he was being slated by a few when played a 4 at the back for giving away goals this time last year. We are following the Brentford model and it took them several years. They sell and re-invest. Obvs I hope as much as anyone we keep him for the season. But if not, you look to buy the next Ivan Toney for £5m and the next Rob Dickie for £2m, you bank the rest and you go again.

So maybe the fans are spot on.
The players are worth what we want them when they are well within contract.

Warburton has stated that all players have a price, but if he leaves it will be on QPR's terms. We wouldn't get a bid of anything like that - £15m at best - and that imo, should be rejected. However, the Board might feel differently. Given their investment this summer, I think they are aiming for the play- offs at least. Selling Dickie would not help that, unless they have a good striker (Wells) and a replacement CB (Brentford's Goode that QPR wanted last summer?).

What I cannot understand is how many R's fans seem so happy by how much money we get for our stars! It seems that most are more interested in the value of our players than the success of the team. I understand that we cannot compete with Premier Club re-wages, however, it is so obvious that the club is eager to get the money. Certain statements worry me as it gives the impression that we are just used as a stepping stone.
