I wouldn't mind Colin, not his greatest fan, but hey-ho.

The good thing for you is.....
Now I've had a little pop at his record, and stated that I think he's *bit* of a managerial myth... he'll come.

    It always happens with me.
If I'm watching a game on TV, and I say something like "That Nani is a pile of s**t, Fergie should sub him now"..... Nani will instantly produce a piece of skill, and play like Pele on acid for the next half an hour.
There are 1,000's of examples of that when I get on my soapbox.

So, to sum up: Neil Warnock will be next QPR manager, and we'll batter our way up the tables, and into Europe inside 3 years.
And Curbishley will end up at Brentford one day.

Goddard Benny is right that Warnock is the man.

The fact that you don't think he is a very nice man means nothing.

He is a fantastic manager in this division and if we was to sign him it would be a huge coup. He is perfect to sort out a bunch of over paid arrogant tos sers who need 'real' discipline
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Yes, I know what you think, and Benny.
          I've read the posts.

Not having a dig here... but I also know what I think.
And stating your opinion as fact isn't going to alter my thoughts on who I think would be the best man for the QPR job, and always have.
Even if it is an opinion you are fully entitled to.

And as much as I think Warnock would be decent enough for us... for me the best man isn't Warnock, and we shouldn't wait more than a week for him to make his mind up.

And if it isn't Curbishley, and it isn't Coppell, and it isn't Warnock... then I wont object to Iain Dowie.

That's all I'm saying, not attacking anyone. We're not in a position to be that choosy right now.

(And for the record, I have never said that NW is "not a very nice man" (?) He is a good man, who gives 100% for his clubs. Nothing wrong with that)

But I could say the same for Warnock.
In the last 14 years he has produced ONE promotion, of any kind. Wasn't exactly at a small club either. And they were relegated straight away, just like Dowie at Palace.

He got massive praise for the way Palace drew at home to Villa on sunday in the cup... well Dowie took us AWAY to Villa in the cup, and won.
Palace have got some good players, but they've still managed to get thrashed at home this season by Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Reading.

Yeah, I might be selecting stats here, but so are those who #### Dowie off. Coventry wasn't great, but Leicester wasn't great for Holloway.

What I'm saying is.... I don't think he's THAT wonderful, or his record this century is THAT great that we should wait more than a week for him to grace us with his presence.
And if it's left to whether we should wait more than a week for him, or get Iain Dowie in, then I'd rather that than sticking with Harford.

Benny, I respect your opinion... But I know who I really want, and it's neither Warnock or Dowie.... but in our CURRENT state, I'd trust either of them to keep us up more than Mick Harford.
One big advantage Dowie has is his knowledge of many players at QPR, and theirs of him.

Anyway, get Curbishley in, and all this stuff is irrelevant.

            Now my head hurts.

Something I think Bennyboys missed! Thanks Goddard.

Something I've missed, or something I have an opinion on?

Sorry to have dismissed yet another of your pals, but this is how I feel.

I respect Goddards (and yours) opinion and reasons behind, but I'll stick with mine, if it's all the same?

If QPR are willing to wait for NW until Monday, why not wait until after the FA Cup replay? He could be in charge from Thursday or Friday.

However, I would not be disappointed with Dowie, as I think he will win enough games i.e. 6 wins and 6 draws, to ensure QPR not only avoid the drop, but climb into a reasonably comfortable mid-table finish.

He already knows most of the players from last season, so should be able to step in and know what 11 to pick and what tactics and formation they can play.

The long term best choice for me, would be Curbishley.

He would be able to build a side to go up and stay in the Prem League, however that could take a few years, but the downside is, he might not have enough time to assess the players to keep QPR up this season.

Haven't a clue who Goddard is away from this board so I can hardly call him a pal. In fact I think there is probably 3 people on this entire board who I know away from here, so please don't try and put me into a catagory of me and my pals on this board! You have dismissed Dowie and want Warnock, thats your opinion and you're entitled to it but like Goddard you won't change my opinion of Dowie either. Newcastle could have take Warnock last season when they needed help and they never. You look at Dowies negative and dismiss his positives. He done superb at Oldham and Palace. Filling Curbs boots at Charlton was going to be a massive task for whoever got that job lets face it. Not putting Warnock down as I'd love to see him at Rangers but he hardly has a fantastic managerial CV. 13 or so years at Sheffield Utd and one promotion, a massive club with monsterous budgets hardly is amazing! Warnock is a Marmite manager as in other clubs hate him and thinks he's a whinging little lady when as supporters of the team he represents love his passion and say it as he sees it attitude. Where as Dowie has turned a teams around with nothing budgets into good sides, yeah he's spunked money up the wall too at Charlton and Coventry but you could say that Warnock's done the same at Sheffield Utd over 13years there too.

At the end of the day both manager are similar in their no nonsense ways and both would be great replacements and what we really need right now. We all have our own opinions, but lets face it either would be heaps better than what we currently have and both are capable of keeping us up.

What supporters don't realise and see in the manager of football clubs is all the things that go on behind the scenes. How this manager interacts with his players, how the players respond to him, the level of respect he commands, his training method, his personal skills as a manager in dealing with players personal lives away from the game and what he gets back and demands from his squad. He is a football man through and through. Yeah he may be ugly but he too like Warnock knows this league inside out. I be more than happy for him to return based on what I know of him as a Football Manager on the field and at the training ground.

Talk to the players and find out their views on him as a manager and you'll find out first hand how rated he is. Also remember we are a Championship side, not world beaters so we have to have realistic expections not fantasy ones. He is a man who could quite easily if SUPPORTED CORRECTLY take us up!
For every player who sings his praises you'll find some that think he is a complete and total **** - 2 sides to every story..
