That first touch for his goal, reaching behind him and cushioning it into his path was pure class. Don't underestimate how tricky that is to do.
If Messi had done that it would be all over the internet.

It was great to see - he deserves a goal. Also good to see the new scapegoat Kane almost get man of the match on Sky. Wallace had a surprisingly good game too, I think.

I thought his reaction after scoring was strange. He just stood there almost in disbelief. If I had scored the winning goal for I team I also supported, I would have dropped my pants and ran around with my #### out.

Yeah it's funny, players are never as bad as made out on here.
Lumley was very good for us until the boo boys shattered his confidence, now kane would be hounded out of the club if they had their way, don't understand it from so called fans.
I was very suprised at Wallace's inclusion last night, not having played for so long, and I feared the worst when he injured himself in the tackle that got him the card, but he was vey good last night, much more mobile than I remeber him being before.
The new system seems to suit the teams capabilities, and Charlies enthusiasm seems to be infectious, I was so proud of the lads.

Now, back to that touch by Uncle.....

Don’t think we could expect fans to sit back and watch Lumley make errors on a consistent basis , there are always a few idiots on Twitter that go to far but as a professional footballer you have to get over that if you want to have a career.Kane has been poor for the majority of his time here , don’t think anyone could deny that . He was man of the match last night , so credit where it’s due .Wallace has also been a disappointment so far but he is more street wise compared to Nico so he will probably play the remainder of the season should he stay fit .

I’ll hold my hands up and say, hats off to both Kane and Wallace last night. Both solid and didn’t put a four wrong, well played lads. In fact only one to put a foot wrong was Cameron! No need to make that challenge! Why try and tackle someone as quick and tricky as Sarr there? Thankfully the fighting spirit of this team shone through and special mention to the subs Willock (great cross for Charlie’s goal), Thomas (busy when he came on, going beyond last defender) and ofcse Uncle (for that goal, and what a brilliant first touch!) Fantastic result, well played to the whole team and well done the management who got everything right. Onto Blackburn and let’s hope we can get our home form back on track quickly. You Rrs!!!

It was fantastic! Let's face it, it was a very poor ball into him - well behind him. How he managed to contort himself to trap it, control it and tee up the shot is baffling! Fact is, he did it and made it look easy. In these days of 5 subs, having AA to bring on for last 15/20 mins is a decent option isn't it!?

I know Albert isn't a striker, but with Bonne and Dykes the only proper options to partner Austin I would be inclined to try out Albert as Austins strike partner (if he does not last for the entire match, as long as he lasts before replacing him with Bonne or Dykes).

After all, Albert has scored as many goals from playing striker in 15 minutes as Dykes has for 20+ matches (from open play).

His goal yesterday was pure class, worthy a top class Premier League striker.

Yes, that was kind of strange, in fact watching it on a dodgy stream on a window of my IPad I thought he missed it then the other players came running over to congratulate him I wondered if he had recently played for Watford and didn't want to celebrate, I didn't think he had! As the OP states that was a first class touch and finish and a very cool celebration to boot!

I think the lack of fans insight might have had something to do with that.

A very good bit of control and a lovely finish from him. He could probably retire now on such a high note as he must surely have fulfilled one more of his dreams!!!!

I think that Dykes has just got TKUTRs that he needs if he is going to fight his way back into the starting 11.

agree 100%. Wallace, although a disappointment, is a better defender than Hamalainen.

Don’t make much sense to me , that just leaves Nico , who most fans feel has struggled.

When our "paper thin" squad, to borrow a phrase, cannot name a full bench of subs, why would we release a fit player and cover for LB.

There must be some cost in letting him go. If its paying up the rest of his contract, he may as well keep him as let him go.
