Very good pieces in The I Newspaper today about how football is sleepwalking into a total mess by ignoring the imminent decimation of the programme. It looks mainly at The Prem but given EFL needs to complete more fixtures AND have play-offs too the situation is probably even more dire at our level.

I see pictures stories and pictures of prem players flouting tier restrictions and attending parties over Christmas are beginning to emerge. Interesting that the Premier League position is basically "nothing to see here, it's a matter for clubs to deal with".
Well NO it's not is it. The integrity and credibility of the competition is at stake so the governing body needs to take a firmer stance and dish out sanctions to clubs whose employees put the programme in danger.
I get the feeling clubs are just waiting for HM Government to make them stop playing so they can paint Boris as the Bogeyman.
