    If you were QPR's DOF...

We have seen the Club move from signing expensive aging players to a collection of loaners to today's apparent movement toward youth and the lower leagues.

What exactly (beyond "value") should we be looking for to advance our declining fortunes?

Tactical speed? Toughness? Touch (like a scorer or direct kick specialist)?

Our DOF/Board, well-meaning as they are, have gotten a lot of deserved stick for stumbling through the past 7-10 years.

It would be encouraging to see signs (beyond living within our means) that we are building something to look forward to, not ruefully reflect back on.

    Thoughts?

Pace, creativity and the ability to finish. As the last two are difficult to pick up on the cheap, I'd say that pace up front might be key. Well, as long as it's not Armand Traore's kind of pace without end product.

Les should never have been given the job as Director of Sport. He was not qualified for such an important role. The job should have gone to an experienced director of football. Who cares where they came from. As long as they were suitably qualified for the job.

This is one of many bad judgement calls by our owners. QPR as a business will not move forward with the current idiots running the business. They need to be removed. They are not fit for purpose.

In all the years I've been a fan of our great club. We currently have the worst owners I've ever seen at QPR.
The business was run much better under Briatore and Ecceslstone. They were not popular but those guys know how to run a business.

The biggest mistake the previous owners made was not selling the business to the Mittal family.

                        And replace with who?

I don't see a queue forming to buy the club.

There are much bigger clubs and in better position who cannot get suitable buyers, look at the fiasco going on at Newcastle

I’d do the honourable thing and resign, he’s resided over this debacle for far too long and taken none of the blame, and he’s a fault for plenty

Dream on , Briatore and Eccelstone couldn’t wait to get out and had no interest in taking the club forward . If the Mittals wanted to buy the club they would have . Fernandes spent stupid money and we are still hamstrung by that . To the owners credit they have stuck around to pay the ffp fine , buy a new training ground and keep the club afloat. Be careful what you wish for unless you want QPR to go the same way as Bury .
