We were not 19th when McClaren left, we were 17th 3 points clear of 18th, there was absolutely no danger of us going down but now for the first time in many years I genuinely feel there could be a slip into the third tier unless Warburton can raise things or we find a new voice. You can mention the turnover of players under Warburton but McClaren also had to try and replace more than half a defence. He lost Smithies and had to rely from within in Ingram and Lumley - Warburton has signed a keeper in Kelly. Onouha, Robinson had to be replaced too. Like the post above says £7 million spent there on players that haven’t improved us. It’s not the playing idea that worries me under Warburton as much as his choice of signing
