How many managers play 442 these days though. Most play with one up top dont they?

I think a manager needs to look at players he’s got and fit a system that fits best not what is obviously not working old saying ain’t broke don’t fix it well ours needs fixing

        Most teams play 4 3 3 , which is fine if your front 3 are a goal threat . Willock 0 , Bos 1 , Adomah 0 , Bonne 2 , Dykes 1 from open play all season .

Yeah it’s a good point given where we currently are in terms of capability.....our lack of any kind of goal threat is just plain scary. Dykes looks like a poor version of Washington. But we did get that rarest of rare things too.... a CLEAN SHEET!!!!!!! Tonight was much more a ‘can’t lose’ than a ‘must win’ for Warburton and the team. Just need to follow up with a win v Wycombe.

Point tonite is fine as long as we beat wycombe . Lots of weak links in the team , midfield slow and predictable .in flashes we look good . BOS takes on to many players and loses ball to often . His body language says he thinks he's to good for us .albert was cack and willock no great shakes . So dykes not getting no real service . Saying that he's had 2 good chances tonite and at millwall and fluffed . Would like to see us play ball every game he has a bit more about him than cameron

You can see a relegation team a mile off.
They get beat most weeks, and pick up the odd draw at home.
QPR are a relegation team, marching towards Lg1 without putting up fight.
                    Spot on.

Wycombe have limited players in their squad too, but are starting to pick up points after a very poor start and will probably beat QPR on Saturday. Depending on how results go tonight and Saturday, QPR could be one place out of the bottom 3. Next up, Swansea and Norwich. Carry on like this and QPR will be in the bottom 3 on Boxing Day and teams in there at this time are often the ones who go down.

I still think we'll stay up - just.
The manager has not lost the dressing room, but he just hasn't got a clue on how to stop this rot. He keeps to the same formula even though it is failing and is hoping that it will somehow come good.

Fans are questioning how good Dykes is, well we won't really know until he gets a supply of chances. He had one last night and the defender got a goal saving touch on the cross from Chair. BOS created sweet fa last night and given he hasn't signed a new deal maybe he should be dropped and be replaced by Willock in the side. Although BOS does have pace and strength on the ball and can create something which is more than can be said of some of the squad i.e. Adomah, who looks like he is ready to retire having fulfilled his dream of playing for the club he supports.

As for staying up, sorry , unless something drastic changes I can't see that happening. We will be bottom 3 going into the new year and I don't see QPR signing any players good enough to start winning games.
19 points from 19 games and only 18 goals scored says a lot. If you factor in how we did in the restart in June (2 wins 2 draws and 5 defeats) 27 points out of a possible 84.

The squad lacks quality for sure, but what it lacks more is a coach with ideas. MW has clearly run out given that he sticks to his one man up front rubbish, Didn't he actually say that things would be different when he played both Dykes and Bonne together? He gave them one game, but no service from the midfield & wingers whatsoever.

Wth do Bonne, Kelman & Bettache do in training to not deserve a chance to play? Maybe they are rubbish, but at least give them a chance to show what they can do in a real match (and let us see for ourselves).

In a way it is a blessing for MW that there are no (or restricted fans) at games, because the booing and 'Warburton out' chants would be clearly heard by the Board.

Chair is our stand out player and it feels like Bos has thrown the towel in , even sky saying he didn’t do enough.Well done to Dieng and defence though at least we kept a clean sheet .
I agree, well done to Dieng, the defence to Chair for his all round effort and to Dykes for not giving up. He looked knackered, but given he had no support and no real delivery (apart from one excellent ball in from Chair), what else can be expected. No point MW complaining about fixtures when he does little to help players like Dykes out. Cameron cannot play for 90 minutes (yes, he can stay on the pitch doing what he does i.e. nothing of note), but there is no energy, drive or creativity from him. Give Ball and Bettache a run in midfield alongside Carroll. that might just give us a bit of pace in midfield. Drop BOS and play Dykes with Kelman and Chair in a free role behind them. Bring Bonne, Willock and BOS on if we need to change things around in the 2nd half.

Under Warnock we simply had the quality players that could destroy teams and could flourish with our 4-2-3-1 system. Today I don't believe we do. We need to get more players forward to reap the benefits of this system, but our weakness in defence doesn't allow us to do this with any confidence.

I Think you will find that Wycome and Ainsworth know there strengths and that is ball up to the lump up front ok he's not great but it works he then feeds wingers who have the ability to miss the first defender and they get bodies into the box it aint pretty but it works for them.

As for Warburton he plays a system that dont work and has no impact on us being creative for our forwards our sole striker is isolated ball comes back the only time we retain it is when we fart about with it in front of 6-8 defenders, i think we will get a draw at Wycombe but cant see us winning

probably true, We played our best football last season with a 3-5-2. but we had better players to play that way. We are creating very little this season and Dykes is not in Wells' league when it comes to movement and finishing. Chair is trying, but he is not in Eze's league either. Hamalainen is no Manning etc.

So yes, play 4-3-3 or a 3-5-2, if he thinks he can get Hamalainen and Kane to play as wing backs go for it. Maybe BOS and Willock can be given a try as wingbacks if they can tackle.

Kakay or Masterson in a 3 man defence with Dickie and Barbet.

Ball, Bettache and Chair in midfield with 2 from Dykes, Kelman and Bonne up front. It's got to be worth a shot given how his current system is failing miserably.

I agree about Wycombe's style and ours. Neither are good and Saturday will be one tough game to watch (I won't be putting myself through watching that). I suspect we will go there with no real changes (other than swapping one player for another in the same role).
