Its a great memory. The elation that was felt when Fenwick nodded home in injury time will stay with me forever. I was ten at the time and remember crying tears of sadness when Hoddle scored in injury time. The late equaliser is still vivid in my memory.

As a young kid, Wembley seemed so noisy and vast to me. Here we were, little QPR, playing in the national show case game, live on television!

In those days the Cup Final was a very special game. It's a shame that Wembley is now over used and semi-finals and tin pot cup finals are played there too. Back in 1982 there were few live televised matches and only the FA Cup,Charity Shield and League Cup Finals were the only domestic club games played on the hallowed turf.

The true former magic of the FA Cup has disappeared forever. :very_sad:

Being 32 it's quite hard (crap age to be an r), too young to go and appreciate 82, gutted in 86 oxford. From 86 onwards nothing really apart from the 6-0, 5-5, few games beating the top teams man utd, ***s etc..

If i had to name them

        1. Winning at Hillsborough
        2. Semi Oldham
        3. 4-4 Port Vale
        4. lots of games going away on train in late early 1998 onwards, one in particular winning at Blackburn with Gallen last minute to make it 2-0 only about 500 hundred but proper core support.

Now is a load of pony.

For me, after the final whistle of the 82 FA Cup semi final win at Highbury.

The North Bank of Arsenal packed with us, the scenes, it brings a tear to one's eye.

Wember lee, Wember lee, well we're all pi**ed up and we're going to Wember lee.

Qua sara sara whatever will be will, we're going to Wember lee qua sara sara

We haven't sang those for a while.

Walking up Wembley Way towards the twin towers, which should have been integrated into the new stadium. I was abroad for the FA Cup final so this was my first time at Wembley with my club. What a day, so much joy at the beginning and so much disappointment at the end. Think I got more ****ed drowning my sorrows than I would have done celebrating.
Opinions are like A******s, everyone has one, but nobody wants to see the other guy's.
