  • Testimonial for Ainsworth?

Have the club looked at having a testimonial for Ainsworth?

I think this should be organised between fans and messageboards if the club havn't made any plans

Our greatest servant over the last 10-15 years needs to be shown how much he was loved.

Never forget my lads face when he met him, top, top bloke

Hibs all should get him a nice payday.

      as
      Spuds
      Taffs
      Mancs
      Gooners

The club don't care about history. I think he deserves one. Great servant. Saying that, he wasn't here for 10 years.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

I thought you had to be with a club 10 years for a Testimonial.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

He deserves a medal for taking the reins twice under this regime.

We could play a team made up solely from our past 3 seasons managers.

Oh come on. Great guy and all that and certainly gave his all but he was only here 6 and half years and half of that time was spent injured.

Can we knock a testimonial up for Chris Plummer while we're at it.

Far more deserving Rangers legends didn't get testimonials (Warren Neill - treated despicably by the club on two seperate occassions, Ian Dawes and Ian Holloway to name a few...) why Ainsworth?

A cult hero of modern times, a loyal servant and one of the few players to actually had time for the fans. Always attended the kid's christmas parties, which is where my lad met him.
If he/we knew his contract was not getting renewed at the end of the season, at least he would of had the chance to do a lap of honour on the last day of the season.

Maybe i'm just a soft ****e, but i think it would be nice to say thank you and goodbye
