It’s a fair price for a quality player , sad to see him leave as he was a joy to watch , hope he goes on to have a great career. Just goes to show being knocked back a few times as a kid ain’t the end of the world . Also well done to the club for spotting his talent and developing him , which has brought in this fee.

Move on to the next hoops man to take the 10 shirt

Thats lower than I hoped for , but not entirely unexpected. As said, it was £20m and then lowered to a £16m down payment with add ons.

Hopefully those add ons are realistic like £1m for 25 games, 50 games, Premiership survival and not including a cup win and a top 6 finish.

Also, a minimum 15% sell on fee.

Actually, well done to the club. They came out with a valuation, stuck to their guns, and have come away with a favourable deal.

Perhaps that will now sting other suitors into bidding (let's hope so), but if not, we got what we were asking for (kind of - I don't know how the deal/expectation was stacked).

Well done Eze, perhaps we'll meet again in the Prem some sunny day!

If that's the exact breakdown it's a fantastic deal

We could still see another club coming in with a better deal, it's a win win, deal with Palace looks OK, deal with another club would be more money for us.
If any of the linked clubs were serious it's now or never.

Surprised he's heading to that shower - reckon he could do better than signing for a club that will be below us in the league at the end of his contract there. Still, who cares - it's a fair price for us.

They lost out on Bowen cos they wouldn’t pay upfront, so we should continue to tell them where to go and see if they risk it again. Whoever buys him will easily double their money within 2 years, so any sell on needs to be substantial. Shame about BOS not going to Bruge, cos the club would be able to approach this negotiation differently. Speaking of the latter, he’s starting to get up my nose and if he’s still here post the transfer window and not signing a contract, I’d let him rot in the reserves and see which clubs want to give him a pot of cash next year. Bet the queue won’t be that long. A decent 3 months and gone way above his stations.

Lets hope we spend a fair chunk of that for some quality. Who knows what we might have in store for next season ? Our odds may shorten !

We have already spent over £2 million ( if reports on correct) on 2 players ,I would hope with £15 million coming in immediately for Eze that Warburton gets another £5 million to spend.
