Ye I’m glad , feel some players lack loyalty even when on loan , considering we have them the chance to resurrect their careers if we are in to sign them permanently they could show a bit of favour towards us , but most footballers will just go where the wages are highest, sad really

You have to look at "total cost of ownership" and if there are any add-ons or performance based payments involved, you have to assume they will become due. All that, plus his wages over his contact presumably tots up to a total cost of £10-£12 million which I presume is way out of our budget.

I could hang around the penalty spot and score half of what Hugill did for us. I'm available for £200k a year. My speed is lethal over four strides which is quicker than Teddy Sheringham was. My football brain is lightening fast so that £4k a week is a bargain. I'll find my own accommodation out of those wages.

No worries, we have Dykes, Smyth and Oteh and no doubt will snap up a bargain from somewhere or loan a gem like Keane and Macheda.

Am I supposed to be optimistic with that strike force then?

Hugill would have been a good signing regardless of any sell on value. We know what he is capable of at this level.

The club should make it clear that if Eze is not sold by the 5th September for a minimum £20m cash then he is not going anywhere this window or even this season. At least then we will know we have far better attacking options for the season ahead. Or we could have cash to go out and buy other attackers.
