  • Crossing the Line

Not that I am a football manager or even just a manager at work but I know there is a management technique about drawing a line down the middle and asking people to stand either side of it depending on their answer to a particular question.

It's a technique which I think Harford or even the next manager if appointed before the end of the season should use when asking the following questions:

Do you have any say or control over your immediate future as a footballer?
Do you see yourself playing for QPR FC in League One?
Do you see yourself being a part of QPR FC in August 2010?
Do you believe that being at QPR FC will enhance your chances of playing Premiership football?

I think in answering those questions we can therefore find out who believes/wants to have future at QPR and therefore subsquently who will be up for the fight and those who don't. It's not possible to give the manager the answer they want to hear if all four questions are asked. You can't not have control over your future and then say that you'll play for the club even if we were relegated.
