What!! I can’t believe this….got my hopes up….now dashed. Yesterday he was seen passionately wanting his palace side to win and now this interview. There was I thinking he’d be all dressed in a Menace outfit, singing there’s only one furlong at anyone who came near him!

Palace aren't getting that bad of a deal, they get £1 mil, warnock's wages off the books and a good replacement in steve coppel

I'm sure Warnock could be just what we need, but it's a shame we don't just get Coppel ourselves and give him money to build a team, starting with that £1m compensation fee to put towards a decent striker....

he doesn't do the contracts that was the icelandic chairman. Though i do agree Dyer was a rediculous purchase. Don't worry as he won't have a budget that big blow, he does better at clubs our size.

Exactly what i was thinking, some of the signings Curbishley made at West Ham were diabolical.

Taking a tiny club like Charlton up to the Premiership and keeping them for years and then keeping West Ham up is definitely not the sort of manager we want.

We want born to fail type. Come on Lothar don't disappoint us.

                          Unbeliveable, isn't it?

Do some people not realise what an incredible job he did at Charlton...a very similar club to us??
In 10 years he turned them from what Brentford are now, with no stadium, into what Fulham are now. Without spending millions.
The very DAY he left Charlton, they started the slide that took them from the top half of the Prem, into the third division, in just 3 years.

He then saved West Ham from certain relegation... and when he walked out of West Ham, they were 4th in the Premier League.
And both Charlton and West Ham played attacking football, no hoofball.

Apart from that, yeah... he's not done much. :waaaht:

TBH Curbs, Warnock , Coppell, given full team control, a good budget and their own staff chioce would do a good job . All 3 are quality managers and have got Championship sides out of this division. I just hope we dont get Lothar matteus i dont think i could take any more.

Funny how a headline can actually disguise what was actually said ! The only negative comment was no, he hadn't spoken to us, everything else suggested he would probably be leaving in the next few weeks.
