Given our budget we are over achieving but comparing us to Brentford’s spend isn’t fair. They sold twice what they spent so Jansen for £5m doesn’t mean anything. They’ve just been doing what we’ve recently started for longer. The positive is we can be like them possibly from next season when we sell players for bigger ££ as we will become less desperate as time goes on.

Look at Norwich - they went up against expectations and ahead of any schedule and are now being hammered by everyone!

agree - Promotion shouldn't be the goal this season or next even - improvement - entertainment and developing our youth all seem to be on course...and we are far more entertaining to watch this season.

Norwich haven’t spent a penny , they are resigned to relegation , their chairman has said as much already. They are using this seasons premier league money to clear the clubs debts and put them in a better position in the coming years .
