Just listened to the Open all R's podcast - always a good listen apart from that "gob shite" Paul Finney. Anyway, one piece of interesting information I did pick up was the fact that this time last year Championship clubs had spent £220 million pounds on transfer fees.
This window only £60 million has been spent so far. The reason - FFP hanging over all those clubs that have "invested" massively into trying to get to the promised land and failed, now having to cut their cloth accordingly.
Personally, think with all the business we have done over this window we now have a wage bill that more in keeping with our income and if we can maintain our Championship status, we can look to "kick on" in future seasons, whilst half of the teams around us look to balance the books and ditch all their better players!!
