I read that 12 players from our youth set up were released. The three loanees returned back to their parent club and five players from the first squad did not have their contracts renewed. That's 'twenty' players off the book and it's still early days after the end of the season. This must make some difference to the club's expenditure and hopefully, there will be new players coming in. I hope that by doing so, we will be in a position to resist offers for the likes of Freeman, as he was by far our best player last season. Also, hope that the likes of Eze, Smyth, Oteh, Manning and Chair, live up of what is expected of them and help make the team more competitive than last season.
