Between now and the start of next season ?
1) That somehow, by hook or by crook, we manage to avoid relegation.
Right now, the least realistic, but whilst hope springs eternal.
2) That means replacing Mick H ASAP. Just out of his depth, poor team selection, doesn't seem to be able to inspire. Personally, I'd retain some respect for him if he did the honurable thing and resigned. I doubt that will happen whilst there's money to be made/paid up.
3) GP goes, or at best takes a leading role in hospitality. Seems to be his forte, charming birds from the trees/billionaires from their yachts.
4) Ali Russell to go.
5) FB sells to the Mittals (still our best option, who else is rich enough to pay him what he wants or invest what is required ?)
6) Bring in Eriksson / Warnock / Curbishley / Coppell / Matteus (?) ASAP. Give them a 3.25 year contract with yearly targets (Survival, Playoffs, Promotion, Survival). Good bonus if/when each is achieved. Give them a good Chapionship budget and total control over who comes in and who leaves.
7) Hopefully, by bringing him in now, he'll spot the deadwood to remove at the end of the season and where he needs to strengthen. Rather than waste the first few months next season finding that out.
8) Drop Season ticket prices - eg. Gold down to £500 adult & £150 Juniors/Seniors etc. Platinum, Silver, Bronze likewise (sorry don't know how much they are) - We can't expect prices to go down to levels 3 years ago, the club needs funding, we have to be realistic but a sizeable drop will at least START to appease and bring fans back in.
9) Next season's new kits. Desgin 3 options, let the fans choose/vote. We did this before and after all it's the fans they expect to buy them. Maximise sales by providing what the majority want.
10) Club badge - Return to old form ? Perhaps, but would we want this if the cost of doing so, impacted the budget for Manager/Players etc. ?
11) Better, more open and regular communication with fans. ie. 2 monthly forums. Let's do away with 'undisclosed' deals. Honesty IS the best policy.
