The truth is that many fans lost faith in Briatore about three months of Dowie's era. I remember at the opening game that season. A big crowd turned out and even then they started to boo.

I will annoy quite a few in this next comment, but out of this whole sorry episode, I have got to say that a certain percentage of QPR's so-called fan base (only small percentage) have made me every bit ashamed of supporting QPR as much as Briatore has.
i think everyone already knows your feelings about fellow r's....

you say he might have got us promoted....no he said he would...you know champions league and all that bull.......
even the fans knew where he was going wrong and still he made a pigs ear of it....
in my eyes he has failed full stop.

oh conners...if he was so "unlucky" why get rid of routledge and get bent(maybe he thought he was dealing with sunderland) and a player who can't get into the ip team(forskin) and not get real football players...we needed a c.b and a f.b-also a front man to play along side simpson.....don't talk to me about unlucky...bad management of our club is the problem

We were the best team in the league and I genuinely felt we were playing the best football i had seen in years at Loftus Road.

I went to Newcastle and saw us play them off the pitch. It was no fluke.

Briatore, for his arrogance, has been particularly unlucky with injuries to key players. I am thinking Buz, Rowlands and Vine inparticular.

I know we all said (including me) that we needed a striker but during that great period earlier in the season we were scoring goals for fun throughout the team.

Something went wrong though. I don' t know what is was. Maybe it will come to light at a later point, but Magilton clearly lost the dressing room overnight.
Are you suggesting that it's a bit of bad luck that we are in this position?
Conners i know you come out with controversial post which carry some good points but mate this Briatore character is a bl00dy idiot you should distance yourself from him with immediate effect .

I know Morgan is a thug but he puts fear into opposition. None of our players do that. We are too lightweight.

Also, someone like Morgan really is a leader.

MrM, I have been around long before Briatore and will be so long after he has gone. Just making the point that despite him being a complete lunatic, i saw enough in October, to see that he wasn't too far away from being successful, despite all his shenanigans in getting involved etc.

                      Really do believe that.

Unfortunately something did happen between players/manager or was it that Briatore came out of the wilderness following the F1 scandal and everything went belly up from there.

In the above comments, I am not supporting Briatore, although i am on record a saying that i don't want him replaced til we find someone else with money.

I don't even think we need a change of ownership to stay up.

Get Warnock in, let him make the decisions re the playing side and we will be ok.

Obviously, the fans would prefer Briatore goes so for the longer term that is the preferred option.

And the man who assembled the lightweight squad is still in his position.
