Probably because he's still being paid by QPR and maybe the terms of his release meant he couldn't take another management job while he was

Mr McClaren was working under FFP restrictions AND a transfer embargo.... not sure he did much wrong when you consider most decisions and team selections were based more on financial considerations than playing ones. I accept our 2019 form is diabolical but I think there were enough decent moments over the whole season to warrant sticking with him. Maybe board are hoping for a dead cat bounce to get us a few more points and hopefully safety?

We've seen moments of brilliance from plenty of individual players over the last few years, but have either shipped them out because they didn't fit a manager's system, or hired managers who didn't know how to help them replicate that brilliance on a regular basis. What's the point of all of this if the only way to win is to have the better squad on paper?
Steve has done as much of a job as Ian has with a smaller squad, smaller wage bill, players sold, FA fine, transfer ban. Yet fans on here still think Ian is God. The guy thinks he’s a comedian. Losing 6 games on the trot twice in a season is a joke to be fair. Also his tactics were a joke. He had more resources than Steve and done a worse job. How can anyone blame Steve and want Ian to come back is just crazy

It’s not off the mark and you are only looking at it from inside the bubble. All 24 managers in the league job is to set players up for success and make the team greater than the sum of the players individual talent. That’s what all teams are doing but weaker teams will eventually fall and some will avoid even though their team is just as weak as the teams getting relegated because of the manager.

Great hat though.Steve McClaren was today sacked as QPR manager, but Ian Holloway has no sympathy for the man he claims ‘took my job.’ McClaren lasted less than a year in the Loftus Road dugout, and he …
Honestly furtive you do come out with some, same as saying everyone knew ollie wasnt picking the team rubbish, but have no proof
Read through what ollies saying there, he mentions hes still getting paid.

At beginning of season he was touting himself as available! As for other comments, oh dear.
